Lovely property. Shame the patio doors didn’t open.

The hot water was far too high and the shower was over sensitive to gage the correct temperature.

Apartment was well equipped clean and comfortable in excellent location to walk into the city

It's a nice looking house on a nice street in York. The apartment is spacious enough and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable.

The key safe was temperamental for opening ./ closing and I needed to raise this with the host as I was unable to close it (in view of check-out). The shower head was full of limescale and very off-putting. There was also a noticeable damp patch on the wall towards the ceiling in the bedroom. The shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold within a millimeter turn of the dial; I had a very cold shower my first morning of being there (and unfortunately needed to wash my hair) therefore mentioned this to the host in the morning; I didn't hear anything and had to chase-up in the evening. They were polite enough and denied receiving my email; they advised someone would look at this and the key safe the next day. The key safe was definitely looked at as I came back to find it had been closed but there were no signs someone had come into the apartment and no follow-up communication about the shower which i felt was very poor (and it presented the exact same the next day). Unfortunately, there was a young lady staying in the apartment above this one (I'm unsure whether also a guest or a permanent resident) who would talk very loudly on the phone in the room above the bedroom until the early hours of the morning ; not ideal when you're staying there for work but appreciate this is out of the host's control.

Good location and free street parking.

Pictures weren’t very representative of the property in my opinion. Mould in bedroom and wasn’t the cleanest (not hoovered in the outside bits of the room and tables were dusty with hairs on)

Bed too low and soft. Not very clean found underwear of the last guest in the wardrobe
