Bad experience with customer service and management not corporative in cancellation and not being understanding towards customer concerns on possible being stuck in Bali due to the current war between US and Iran. After many humble appeal my request was being ignored..

1. Staff 2. Location The staff were so friendly and incredibly hospitable. Everyone acknowledged us and greeted us at all hours of the day. We had our 6 month baby with us and the staff were incredible with him. Staff were very accomodating and were able to rectify issues with our room as best as they could. Where they were unable they were apologetic. The resort is well located and walkable around central Ubud. It’s pretty easy to walk around or organise a grab/taxi to pick up and drop off. Being so close to the monkey forest there is the occasional monkey visitor which can be exciting. The view from the main resort pool and the habitat bistro is incredible looking out over the valley.

Negatives are 3 fold. 1. Construction, 2. Misleading photos, 3. Cleanliness not “5 star.” 1. there was major construction happening directly opposite our room, which not only ruined what we thought was going to be our view out, but also made a lot of noise and light pollution over night as it seemed like workers lived on the building site and used lights in the night. Plus the field infront of the villas has collected alot of construction rubbish and is quite an eyesore to have to look out at, especially for the price point and marketing that the room has an “amazing rice terrace view” 2. Our particular room lacked a lot of the furniture, eg daybeds or a dining table, that was represented in the photos and therefore was not as comfortable. In the staff’s favour they did organise day beds for us at our request. But the photos were misleading. Also we expected to have a beautiful view over the rice paddies in a westerly direction for sunsets, but this has been blocked by the expansion of the resort and major construction happening directly in front. Therefore all the 2 bedroom villas have lost their amazing sunset views. Major factor for us to even book these rooms was the view, so that’s a bummer. 3. When we booked this resort we expect 5 star faculties and I think we were disappointed with the overall state of the facility and the rooms. Cleanliness in the rooms was not up to the 5 star label that this resort claims. Stains in the bathroom, with dust on the vanity, mould in the silicone, dirty glass shower screen, unmoped floors, etc. additionally a lot of the services that were advertised by the resort were either unavailable or not running. Eg they advertised a free shuttle to town, which was not available whilst we were there. Whilst we generally enjoyed our stay and the staff were amazing. We think these negatives will probably prevent us from staying again.

Staff were amazing. Definitely check out the Seven Paintings restaurant. Perfect honeymoon location, really relaxing.

Monkeys in the courtyard gave us an initial scare, but they were harmless and unique experience being amongst the forest in ubud!

Hospitality, excellent service, everyone is welcoming and making you feel comfortable!
