Kaamala Resort & Spa Ubud by Ini Vie Hospitality

We found Kaamala Resort & Spa very lovely. First of all you need to be aware that the location is very close to monkey forest and jungle, thus there is a big chance you would see monkeys at the pool or at the private villa location. For us that was a unique experience to be so close to nature and as long as you don’t leave food unattended and you don’t touch them, there is nothing to worry about. The room and private pool are very clean and you get the chance to see amazing views while relaxing in the pool with some cocktail maybe. I really recommend booking with breakfast option too, as they server excellent food in the morning (it’s à la carte menu). Besides Habitat restaurant they have 2 more (Shicirin at Bisma and 7 paintings) for which you need reservation 1 day ahead of time. We only booked 7 paintings which is really an interactive fine dining experience. We recommend to book at least one massage at the spa, the staff there are very well prepared and gave us a full treatment experience.

First of all the Staff. Great & kind people always greet you and make you feel special. The quality and cleanliness of the room, it had an amazing view and very well kept pool. We had breakfast at the restaurant and our room, both great experiences

Breakfast was good but seemed to be cold by the time it was put in front of us every morning, there was no wifi in the restaurant

Tout était splendide, le personnel aux petits soins, la chambre et la piscine privée incroyables. Une vrai escapade dans la jungle de Ubud avec des invités fréquents très gourmands (les singes de monkey forest). Nous avons adoré. On recommande vivement !

The infinity pool is beautiful and the spot for breakfast gives you great views of the jungle. Breakfast was of high quality. Staff was very friendly. If this is your thing- monkeys visited our villa twice! The resort is way smaller than it feels like on the photos (they only have about 8 rooms and 4 villas something like that).

It's not a bad location to walk into town, if you rely on grab a lot (as we did with my elderly mom) it's not the best spot due to one way traffic in some roads. Just a heads up for the villas - it wasn't very clear on the photos but the shower only has a glass door into the room, if you're not travelling with a partner it doesn't offer much privacy when showering (not a big issue but FYI). It was good, but of all the places I've stayed in Bali I'd stay I've had better stays for the price.
