Nice pub, modern and clean. Free house a range of good beers on tap. We were attending a wedding nearby and stayed in one of the rooms above the pub. The rooms are slightly off the pub so separate. The room we were in was a standard, on the smaller side, but for what we wanted it was fine, en suite off the room free, tea, coffee and water available, rooms all very clean and modern. Fan included on the ceiling and an extra one added. The breakfast was really nice, full English with a drink included. We didn't really explore the area as it wasn't out intention. Overall can't fault it.

Location-far enough away from the office and hustle/bustle of Newbury but short run in. Nice food.

I’m a regular stayer at the Five Bells so pretty much eat my way thro’ the menu before it changes-so a more frequent change would be nice……but it’s a really small point in overall scheme of things!!
