Zostel Kodaikanal

We were a group of five and specifically booked five beds in a six-bed dormitory. However, upon arrival, we were given a four-bed dormitory and one bed in another room. If the property couldn’t provide what we booked, why is it still shown as available on Booking.com? When I raised this issue, the staff claimed that all their six-bed dorms had been converted into four-bed ones — but that was clearly untrue, as the dorm right opposite ours was still a six-bed room. There were no jugs or glasses in the room, which was very inconvenient. Every time we needed water, we had to walk all the way to the water filter near the main door. If someone wants to take a medicine or just drink water at night, there’s no easy option. The bathrooms were below average, especially when compared to other Zostels. The only positive aspect of our stay was the food — it was good. Overall, from check-in to stay, it was a disappointing experience. Also, since this is a property in Kodaikanal, it was surprising that none of the staff knew Tamil, the local language.

This place has cozy vibe which you wont get in poombarai zostel.
