Great location, good atmosphere and friendly staff

Staff were friendly

Room for three only cups for two! Very noisey from the road. It’s smelt bad. Entrance after hours was dangerous

A hotel over a bar with limited reception service. We had to 'compete' with bar customers to check in! Spacious family room with clean bathroom.

The internet and TV were not working. The owner could not make them work. We agreed that he will offer a discount as compensation. Then he just 'disappeared'. He was not available at the time of the check out as he promised and he became 'unavailable' despite several messages and phone calls. What is there not to like :-) He could have easily saved the day...

The size of the room was brilliant. The bathroom was lovely. The tea/coffee in the room was very handy. Parking was easy. Great location for our needs. Located near a community leisure centre which looked lovely, we wished we had taken swimming stuff

Needed more coat hangers. Couldn't work out how to get the room cooler without opening the window which opened onto a road. It was Halloween weekend so it was quite noisy at night when trying to sleep.

Pleasant girl behind the bar which doubled as reception.

Dirty carpets, poor decor in bar. Dirty walls and paper/paint. Shower hose rail coming away from wall.

The bar staff were super friendly.

The room was not as clean as i would have expected. “Hairs” on towels, also stains on them too. No mirror in the bathroom, but a space and hook for one… Toilet roll placed on a broken holder. Sink cracked (bacteria harbour) Cigarette burns in the carpet Mirror on “dressing table” was filthy. Holes in the wall next to the tv Tv didnt work (we didn’t ask for help on this as we werent bothered about watching it ) Coffee table old and in need of replacement. Multiple other stains on the carpet throughout and didn’t look to have been hoovered very well. We didn’t report any issues as we were only there one night, and the person that showed us our room (at 3pm) was in the bar drinking the whole time we were there. Not a great example to be setting… See pictures.

The room was warm and very comfortable. Lots of tea and coffee. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean. Good WiFi signal.

I loved my stay but it’s worth noting. The room was up two flights of stairs and I had to park on a main road.
