O'Connors Guesthouse

We selected O'Connor's for authentic Irish entertainment on the Saturday night and that's what we got. Plenty of free onsite parking. The meals were excellent. Management was co operative Check in was quick and efficient Room was warm and adequately set up. The free local entertainment was excellent see YouTube @christopherpearson1752. Nice area with Mt Brandon dominating.Worth the few extra KMs off the main track.

What a wonderful surprise this stay was for us! We loved the bar and our cozy room. The staff was amazing and so kind. We loved the views and the town.

We LOVED the area! And the room was just what we were looking for. The room we got overlooked the bay area, and it was SO quiet! The best sleep I've had in a long time! Enjoyed the owner, his stories, and the ambience of the pub downstairs. We came during the week prior to St. Patrick's Day and how busy it was expected to be, so we missed the music, etc., but we probably wouldn't have slept as well...just a different experience is all. The owner cooked a fantastic spaghetti bolgonese for us, we had good conversations with the bartender, enjoyed watching the football match in the pub relaxing with Guinness, and the breakfast next day was wonderful. We were three people traveling, and the room was just right. Thank you for making our experience so pleasurable!

I had the best night of my 2 weeks traveling through Ireland. I arrived on New Year's Day, so they didn't have food service, but I had the greatest meal from Murphy's down the road. Jeff was running the front of house and bar and was so fun to chat with. Many locals came in and every person was warm and kind. A traditional Irish music session spontaneously broke out later at night and they kindly let me sing along with them. I can't wait to come back!

Stayed over NYE.... best experience my husband and I could have had on our first trip to Ireland. Friendliest owner! Food was delicious. Highly recommemd!

Nous avons pris une nuit dans cet hôtel pour notre road trip et nous n’en avons pas été déçus. Au rendez vous, un accueil chaleureux, de bon plats et un personnel très agréable ! Rajoutez à cela, un peu de whisky et rien de mieux pour être de bonne humeur. La chambre était très correct par rapport à la qualité prix.

We loved our stay at this guesthouse! The staff were nice, the house was charming, and the area was breathtaking. What more, I had the best lamb dinner! I would recommend going to Conner’s Pass that’s located nearby!

Quaint establishment with amazing views. A little out of the way. Stayed on a Friday night with live entertainment at the bar; problem was it lasted until 2:00am - way past my bedtime.

Für eine Nacht okay, allerdings sehr überteuert da es mehr oder weniger die einzige Möglichkeit zur Übernachtung in der Gegend gab. Die Dame an der Rezeption war nicht gerade freundlich, die Zimmer extrem in die Jahre gekommen, eher Jugendherberge Stil und nachts sehr laut… für diesen Preis haben wir auf unserer Reise durch Irland deutlich schönere und saubere Unterkünfte gehabt. Ich hoffe Sie nehmen sich die Kritik zu Herzen und modernisieren die Zimmer. Der einzige Pluspunkt war die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer.

We have never stayed at a guesthouse inn with rooms before- welcome was lovely, room was no frills but very clean with AMAZING views... food excellent and high quality in the restaurant... but we are early birds to bed and love our sleep and we did find this place a bit noisy- nothing to do with the owners just guests to-ing and fro-ing all night from rooms and the sound di carry a lot... this ai a total experience though and one you should do!!!...
