The Kelong Trikora Resort

The resort is stunning! It really does feel like a piece of paradise. I received such a warm welcome, the staff are so lovely, they are very friendly and so helpful. And I have to highlight the breakfast, which was heavenly and served by one of the most attentive and friendly staff I have ever experienced in a hotel. I highly recommend staying here, you will love the relaxation.

One small criticism is the prices in the restaurant. Compared to other restaurants nearby, it is honestly quite expensive. But the food is still worth it because it is fantastic.

I had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel, booking my room around 7 PM for arrival on the same day. Despite the late hour and the fact that I was the only guest in the entire hotel, I was warmly welcomed by Raju, who went out of his way to ensure I felt at home.The room itself exceeded my expectations. It was impeccably clean, and I was particularly impressed by the unique and thoughtful design of the bathroom, which added a touch of elegance to the space. The attention to detail in the room’s decor made it a cozy and inviting retreat after a long day of travel.The hotel staff deserves special mention for their exceptional friendliness and hospitality. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt genuinely cared for, which made my stay even more enjoyable.Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for their guests. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

We were very lucky to have the resort to ourselves for the two nights we were there so we had the full attention of the staff whenever we needed it - they were exceptionally friendly and helpful, particularly Eric and Linda. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the pool is beautifully kept and the choice of food in the restaurant was very good. Linda also organised a local mangrove tour for us which was very interesting.

The only improvement I could suggest would be to have a few more sitting areas in the garden as sun beds are limited - it would have been nice to have chairs on our little patio area by the bungalow for example.

When you read online reviews about Bintan, all they say is it is a pelasurable retreat with peace. Waht they fail to mention is it is an impoverished island with ruins of luxury resorts. When it comes to peace, ofcourse its going to be peaceful, when there are no tourists around and the island looks pretty much deserted. The location is one hour away from the ferry terminal, with no signs of any public transport. So you are whole and sole dependant on the pickup and drop facility by the resort. There are no places to explore around the property, but vast stretches of poorly maintained roads with dim shabby grocery stores which look like they'll fall apart with a strong gush of wind. We (my partner and I) were the only guests on the entire property. Now while that sounds romantic, to be honest it was unsettling. There was one resort manager and two errand buys apart from us on the whole property, and it were these three people who were given the task of being our receptionist/masseuse/chef/snorkelling guide or any other role you can think of. The pleasurable spa photos that they mention on the website is a scam. On reacghing there they inform you that they just have a short massage service, on a makeshift portable massage bed that they place in your balcony, and guess who is the masseuse? Yes, its one of those four multi-talented people. Honestly ,this was definitely not value for money
