The Kelong Trikora Resort

We had a relaxing and beautiful stay in this resort. The resort is clean and modern. The food was excellent. The staff are very polite and helpful. They made our stay more comfortable.

The Kelong Trikora Resort is a clean and quiet space with ample privacy for each group of guests. Staff are friendly and operate like a little family. Breakfast spread is simple but tasty and prepared creatively. Love the interior of the room, bathroom, and the well-manicured greens covering the entire property! We also loved taking walks down the cement bridge that connects the resort to the abandoned kelong.

It would be nice to have a few planned activities available for guests as the surrounding area is quite dead.

We love Kelong Trikora! It's an amazing place, my husband (Indian Singaporean) and I (German) spent 4 days there over Chinese New Year. The team there, especially Linda and Eric, set a new standard to customer service! They are so deeply caring for each guest, it's touching. When it rained they placed an umbrella outside of every villa, so that guest wouldn't get wet on their way to dinner, when we wanted to go on a trip and the hotel driver was unavailable Linda called several taxi companies and in the end offered to drive us with the staff car, even when the fan did not immediately work three people showed up and got it fixed within 10mins. Kelong Trikora is a very quiet resort with a beautiful pool and 10 separate huts. The cuisine is out of this world, even though the menu is a bit limited (focus on Indonesian and Chinese), so many of the dishes were simply the best (can recommend the fish curry, the sotong bakar, the kailan and kangkong and as daily special chicken satay, each main about 180K, veggies 75-90K). It takes about an hour from the ferry terminal Bandar Bintan Telani (Lagoi) and from the resort we went to the blue lakes and sand dunes (1hr drive, absolutely worth it!). We tried the restaurants in the two resorts next to this and got utterly disappointed, food was horrible and the service even worse, so we would next time just stick to the resort kitchen. All the staff is very nice and chitchatty if you're open to it, but not forcing conversations upon anybody. For my husband's birthday I asked them to please help me get a chocolate cake and they got a super cute beautiful cake for me. The only thing to keep in mind is that you're dependant on the hotel's transport (so plan a bit in advance and let them know) and that during low tide the water draws back about 1km, so not really for swimming in the sea, but the pool is amazing and the whole area is covered in nice fluffy green grass, so nice to walk around barefoot.

Unfortunately we had two rainy days as well, then there's not so much you can do apart from getting massages and go for food, next time we would bring bord or card games probably.

It's in an amazing location, right near the water and very peaceful with beautiful views. The staff are so friendly and hospitable, the food at the restaurant is excellent with a wide range of options. When we stayed we were the only guests for two nights and it was so amazing having the pool and resort area to ourselves. It was exactly as we were expecting from the images and the location is even better in person. This resort is honestly a hidden gem and perfect for a relaxing getaway from the city. Highly recommend!

Just be aware it is about an hour drive from the ferry terminal and there is not much to do around the resort, but worth it for the serenity and how close it is to the water. This didn't bother us as we were looking for a low key peaceful stay near the water.

We had a very nice stay at the Kelong Trikora resort, the staff was so friendly and arranged everything for us (activities, excursions). Food is very good, and the massage was top notch! Perfect for a quiet gate away with friends and family.

there is no activities in the resort, but nearby at 5 kms there is a bigger hotels with facilities like jetski, stand up paddle, canoe, and the staff can take you there.

Horrible exit experience, the card machine was not working, they tried for 30 mins until they gave up and told us to transfer to a 'friend' in SG to which I said no. We got into the car to go to the ferry until the car turned around because the machine was then working. By then we were 1hr late to get to the ferry, and they raced thru the island to get us there. All with a 1 yo in the car. Absolutely crazy, untrained staff. I was perfectly ok with transferring the money once arrived in Singapore. They risk people's lives and family. UNACCEPTABLE
