LunArena Barefoot Comfort

We read the reviews thoroughly before deciding on El Cuyo and Lunarena. We knew the power goes off, bad internet, etc. There were things we loved about Lunarena and things which could be much better, which numerous other reviewers have mentioned, so it appears the management doesn't care to improve. Loved the quiet, the breakfast is great, the location is wonderful but the best part is the staff. They are amazing and they made our stay of 10 days very enjoyable. Our unit could definitely use some attention, the bathroom faucet is almost falling off and there was some staining in various places. However, that's not a big deal. The two things we think would make a big difference is darker curtains, as people are on vacation and would like to not wake up so early. The other thing is the kitchen. With what is available in the kitchen it is impossible to do any cooking, as it is very poorly equipped. As the staff is so accomodating, we continually asked for things and they had them available and gave them to us to use. However, I feel if you advertise that you have a kitchen, there should be considerably more than what there is. Despite those two things, we enjoyed our stay, it's a great place to stay in a wonderful little town.

It’s a nice looking hotel. Air conditioning worked well. The included breakfast was decent. It’s very close to the beach. They offer beach chairs. The service was quite friendly. It’s nice and quiet as it’s about a 10 minute walk to town. The pool is very small. Our room and linens weren’t very clean. Rooms 1 and 2 have a sliding door that look directly into the common area/restaurant. The lights flicker constantly and sometimes just turn completely. I don’t think it quite matches what they charge.

El hotel esteticamente es muy lindo, pequeño pero han sabido aprovechar el espacio, solo no deberian anunciar piscina pues el foso de agua que tienen al centro de la propiedad no es realmente funcional como pisicina. No puedo negar que el hotel tiene una vibra muy bella, muy estilo Santorini, nos encanto que los cuartos tienen mucho especio y que esta a metros de la playa, ademas que te presten sillas de playa estubo magnifico, solo es importante considerar llevar alguna sombrilla porque el sol es intenso y no hay ningun tipo se sombra. La limpieza de las habitaciones puede mejorar bastante sobretodo porque ya hay cosas, como el cabezal de la regadera, que se ven desgastados y con sarro, ademas desde que llegamos el piso estaba lleno de arena. El desayuno sencillo y rico, y el personal bastante amable. Conociendo la condiciones del pueblo, deberian considerar invertir en un generador o planta de emergencia para por lo menos las luces de pasillos y/o ventiladores en las habitaciones, lo digo porque en el camino al hotel a nuestra llegada, cuando no habia electriciddad en el area, pasamos por varios establecimiento que se nota ya estan prevenidos y cuentan con al menos algunas luces de emergencias.

Beautiful place.. all the staff incredible.. amazing beach.

I liked the quite and it is a charming place. I did not know that it does not have air conditioning, although the weather was great and we did not need it at all, in a different time of year it may be nice to have.

Excelente ubicación y lugar, súper recomendado. Solo costo de la comida lo sentí muy elevado para la calidad pero servido fue muy rápido y las bebidas excelentes

Proximity to wonderful beach

Attractive hotel close to the beach. The rooms were ok, although not very practical. There was a limited place to store items (no cupboards or closets), the kitchen had very limited equipment and utensils and the top floor bed was hanging from the ceiling which made it swinging and rather uncomfortable. The lower floor room had a solid bed which was a lot better. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast rather limited.

I absolutely loved it all! Thanks to Joaquin, Anaí, Gonzalo and the entire staff for taking care of our needs and wants! We will be back 2023 for the new one!

Staff was super super helpful!! Always attentive and very nice to assure that everything was as expected. It’s a. 15 min walk to restaurants and about 25 to town itself but only a 3 min walk to the beach that was super clean and pretty and with very few people, loved it
