Quirky Cottage

Quirky Cottage was in a short walking distance to the main streets and of course the golf course. It was beautifully furnished and had everything you needed.

Location was about a 10 minute walk to centre had a cosy atmosphere

Unfortunately while the fire was mentioned as the outstanding feature there was no firewood, kindling or fire lighter which we had to buy. Can expect to buy some but usually property provide sufficient for one fire. The shower was also cold.

Spacious and warm, good location. Easy to park nearby.

Shower was a bit temperamental.

No shower screen upstairs however there was a good shower downstairs

Location, facilities excellent

Freaked out for the first night as there were approx 15 blue bottles to kill. Reported it and staff came within an hour and were very helpful. But annoyingly I kept checking every few hours as they seemed to be getting in via the utility room and we blocked the door with a towel. A handful more appeared over the duration of the weekend but then they seemed to disappeared. Was a shame as property and location exception but not the most relaxing start to a luxury short break.

Tea and coffee available. Spacious cottage with comfy furnishings and excellent beds. 2 bathrooms and kitchen were all very convenient. Plenty of toiletries which was much appreciated. Easy walk to the town centre. Very good instructions and easy access to the cottage. Cottage is big enough for 4 travellers although we were only 2.

Everything was great. It would have been nice to have some basic provisions for breakfast but we did not pay extra for these. It was a little cool on entry but it was easy to turn the heating up. Good not to waste energy!

We stayed at the Quirky cottage while dropping our daughter at University of St. Andrews. Her dorm was within walking distance so that made the move very easy!

Location and nicely stocked short stay cottage.
