Sealofts On The Beach

Lovely relaxing place to be, quiet & tidy. The condo itself no:6 was comfortable and very well equipped.

The location, ease of check-in, and the host.

The place needs some TLC. There were a lot of minor maintenance issues that needed to be addressed before a tenant rents. The spiral stairs were named "the stairs of death" by my party and guests - a huge turnoff. There was only physical privacy between the two bedrooms. Do to the lattice opening at the top of the wall in the upstairs bedroom, you could see down into the other bedroom and definitely hear everything. This was not expected and bothersome.

Host was very welcoming and provide timely feedback. The location was perfect for those without a car, you have the option of walking to groceries, restaurants and beaches.

It is an excellent location just near the beach. Our villa (46) had a seaview and you could hear the waves all the time. It is spacious (2 rooms with big beds, 2 bathrooms and a living room and kitchen) and has 2 nice terraces. Stores and a few restaurants at walking distances. The taxi station is also next door. Flexible checkin and checkout hours are very helpful. Joyce was responsive and helped us with what we needed. However.. most of the unpleasant things are probably not under her control.

The place itself is very dated/ vintage and needs significant investments. Most of the furniture and kitchen appliances are really old. The doors and windows cannot be operated properly (both bathroom doors cannot be properly shut.. so no intimacy.. ; the terrace doors have broken locks and you need to use an improvised stick to block and unblock). The electricity system is weird and most of the switches do not work. You have to pull some strings from the ceiling fans to operate them. There is no dishwasher. While it is nice to have a spiral staircase - do mind that is very uncomfortable and potentially not suitable al all for people with reduced mobility and children. It is also mission impossible to get a big luggage upstairs. The worst thing was missing hot water. On our first evening it was too late to fix anything (it was not working at all). We were promised a solution the next day. It worked for about an hour and broke down again.. so basically 2 out of our 3 nights we could not have a decent shower! For a charge of more than 200 usd per night, this is very disappointing. They also mention in the description that they offer a free taxi pickup on arrival - this is false information as we had to pay 25 usd.

Was quiet, centrally located, excellent proximity to the beach on the Atlantic coast. Lovely view of the ocean in unit #6. Breezy.

Couldn't get the cases up the narrow spiral staircase. Had to leave them in the lobby and carry clothing up to the living area and bedrooms.

Joyce was very helpful. Hired car from Y&Y very good company in frigates bay.

Everything was extremely dated. All the lofts need a complete revamp. Could not use the beach.
