Bakung Cozy Cottage

It's a cozy room, very clean and tidy. There was warm water everytime we took a shower. The garden and pool is well kept. And the host attended to our every need. She helped us to rent a scooter and organized our taxis on time. She has a very kind and beautiful soul and we plan to be back again. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay.

The staff were so friendly and extremely helpful! The beautiful manager at the counter really went the extra mile for me with transport to get to and from places for meals. She had genuine care for my wellbeing as a solo traveller. It was very much appreciated.

It was in a beautiful, quiet and serene location, away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far to get to amenities by motor bike. The villas were very charming and had all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay.

Give a wide berth. If you dream of a beautiful house from the photos you see in the reservation, forget about them, in reality their condition leaves much to be desired, the houses are not airtight, which is why they are full of vermin, lizards and frogs. When we arrived, the house was not clean, the bathroom was not cleaned, there were no cleaning products such as shower fluid (the dispenser was empty) and the shower cabin was dirty. There are traces of blood on the mosquito net, it definitely needs refreshing. The bedding was dirty, we slept under our own sleeping bags because we were disgusted. Don't choose the offer with breakfast. Pancakes? It's actually a salty omelette with a banana and a piece of paper... Toast? A dry piece of toasted bread with packed jam and lots of sugar…. The only thing we recommend is a banana smoothie, although it's hard to call it breakfast... WI-FI If you like spending your days offline, this is the place for you. WiFi only works in the morning from 4-6 a.m., but also only in one corner of the room, and your own network is out of range here... Scooter rental DO NOT RENT a scooter from them, take detailed photos and write a vehicle pickup report and do not make our mistake. After renting a scooter from a hotel in Ubud without any problems, we naively trusted a young girl who brought us a scooter with a broken speedometer and scratches, which we rode for a total of 30 km (to the city and back on a straight road with no collisions). We returned the scooter on Friday evening, and on Saturday evening a young girl with a "mechanic" arrived and, 24 hours after returning the vehicle, she pointed out many faults (pointing her finger, because of course she has no way to communicate in English) and demanding that we pay PLN 200,000. .

I enjoyed my stay here. Pure quietness. Simple breakfast 👌.

The stay was great overall. For the price you pay it’s definitely good value for money. You will require a scooter to get around as it’s a bit out of the way. The lady who runs it can organise if for you, however I recommend renting from a rental shop on arrival as it’s cheaper (80 per day). The only down side of staying here would be the bed being a bit hard, and the sounds of chickens from 4am but then again this can be expected as you are staying in the nature! I would stay again!

Bed mattress Inner supports (springs?) inside mattress was uncomfortable. Pool was clean - water a bit cloudy.
