Park Plaza Minneapolis Mall of America

Great place for families, right across the street from the Mall of America and close to the light rail station. Breakfast is well presented and dood, and is served until 9:30 on weekdays. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very accommodating.

The property was over booked. When asking for information on what can be done, the person at the front desk was snippy. They ended up transferring us to another hotel and stated to come back the next day. The next day I called and they stated that they transferred the entire stay over. I ask the front desk of the hotel they transferred us to and they stated no one called. I had to call several times throughout the day to get things finalized. It was very stressful and I wasnt the only person dealing with this. I dont understand how a room I booked several months in advance could suddenly be overbooked.

Location was great! And it was a suite!

Check in was tricky because the doors you think you go through by IHOPS isn't the loby doors. Just drive around the building and you will see the loby. Check in was a breeze. I asked for a first floor room that was close by a door because my husband can't walk very far. We got a room very close to the door and it was a pretty quiet room. Room decor was nice but the carpet was warn. We stayed 3 nights and on the 3rd night we got into our room and noticed the ac was out. I went to the front desk and explained what happened. Shawn came right away and got our ac running right away. He then explaned about how the hotel was going to be getting a facelift including getting new carpets this coming January. We had constant hot water and the water flow was great. This hotel is just a short walk to The Mall of America and it has bus runs. IHOP is connected but you don't need to go there for breakfast because the hotel has a delicious breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, or Canadian bacon when we stayed. Biscuits and gravy, mini waffles, oatmeal, fruits and a verity to drink. The front desk man, Dovence, was kind and very nice. Yes, we would stay there again. P.Bass

The people here were very friendly and ready for any questions I had. Top notch service with cozy rooms and a great location plus its one of the nore affordable places in the area. This is a great hotel in every way.

I was traveling through Minneapolis on my way to Amsterdam when bad weather caused flight delays. Searching for hotels for the night I came across the park plaza. Right across the street from Mall of America, a decent location that has plenty of opportunities for food if you need a bite to eat before bed. The breakfast was just what I needed. I got in very late, the normal check out time is noon, but they kindly let me stay later with no extra charges! The room was clean and appeared to be well kept. The carpets in the hallways were starting to show their age, but you don't stay in the hallway. ALL staff interactions were pleasant AND helpful!!

The services were not excellent, and the room was not clean during my stay. Also, the rugs were dirty and stained.
