"Very beautiful and historic building"

9.0

Everything was wonderful except the 2 flights of stairs and we knew there was no elevator. Next time we will get a 1st floor We met Rachael when we arrived a few minutes early and she was very accommodating, helping my husband with his suitcase and our cooler and also let us in 5 minutes early. She answered a lot of our questions, she was great!

Rachel was super helpful and kind. Our room was beautiful and clean. I really loved the organic lavender lotion from a local vendor. Great stay!

Not a typical hotel experience. I really liked the building and my room. Great location close to downtown and the lake front.

No place to put clothes, tiny refrigerator with coffee on top on floor. Bare hooks on wall with no pictures. Bed worn out, too soft. Loud bar.

"Overrated"

6.0

Pros: comfortable bed, good AC (but mine dripped on the bedside table where the charger plugs were), clean, location is wonderful for walking everywhere, funky end of the week Agency bar gets good accolades but the creative drinks were so sweet it was hard to recognize what they were supposed to be Cons: you feel like you are in your grandmother's home with noisy, creaky floors (in your room and the room above yours and the stairs nearby), the shades for the windows do not fit the whole width of the window so the light shines in (glad I brought my eye patches from the plane to wear) , room decor is reminiscent of a dorm room with minimal furniture and a dorm fridge on the floor in the corner with a Keurig atop it. Currently construction of the skyscraper just on the other side of the parking lot stats at 6am. For a self-service inn with no personalized welcome, I think this place was overpriced (If you want extra linens look in the closet upstairs and extra Keurig is in the closet downstairs).
