Clean and spacious Good breakfast Friendly staff

I liked that it was central, very clean and value for money. The food was very good, with plenty of it.

The property was a bit dated and could do with a wee bit of TLV

Nothing we didn’t even check in there was no one there at 1500 and I called the number several times no response. We waited for half an hour and decided this place may not be operating. The place had full cigarette butt boxes next to both entrances and it felt like the place won’t pass any safety laws.

Lack of any owner or staff at booking in time and no response to calls or message

Le personnel est accueillant, ambiance chanteuse à l’écossaise. L’hôtel est de style ancien mais ce qui fait son charme. Petit déjeuner copieux !

Il faudrait prévoir une rénovation de certaines parties de l’hôtel car un des couloirs a subi un dégât des eaux non négligeable.

I struggle to sleep away from home but the bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in - I had a great night sleep. The room had everything needed with a tasty breakfast included. Staff were really friendly.

Village location was ok parking available nearby breakfast server was helpful

General state of bedroom, room off main staircase, not off a separate corridor -therefore noisy, extremely slim single beds, no blackout blinds, lumpy pillows, threadbare towels for occupant of room, no towel rails in bathroom or bedroom save one small hook behind the bathroom door which could not be reached when showering, unless stepping out completely dripping on floor. I did not appreciate the attitude of reception staff when I spoke to them about it, as she was more concerned with other guests’ state of comfort overhearing this exchange ( saying to them “ Sorry about that” whilst we were having this conversation ), then my complaint about the room. I then said she should apologise to Me for such a run down establishment, rather than placating other patrons. The breakfast selection was extremely poor, fresh fruit comprised of two (2!) apples, which did not go far between the number of the guests. Ingredients were mostly tinned and not very healthy choices.
