EO Bungalows – Adults Only

We did not enjoy our stay at Bungalow 8. This unit appears to be the smallest and should only be rented to a single person. The room is less than 11 feet wide, tiny and dim. All the amenities were of superior quality but that could not make up for the cave-like setting. There were 4 hangers on a small shelf on the wall for clothing and no place to store anything. You had to live out of your suitcase with one suitcase on a rack and the other on the bench at the end of the bed. The 24” table and bar stools were not very useful. Thankfully, the shelves above the toilet made the bathroom useable and the shower was fine. However, it took several minutes to get warm water from the tiny corner sink. We left early and went to Our Place in Rapid City. We paid less that the $169 we were charged a night at EO Bungalows for two nights there and the room was much larger and more pleasant.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It is just minutes from Custer State Park (a must if you are visiting South Dakota) and within walking distance of several wonderful restaurants. The bungalow was super clean and private. The extra amenities, such as the fully adjustable bed and steam shower, were a fun vacation treat. The staff was great and checked on us throughout our stay. Overall, we had an excellent experience and we will be staying here again if we ever get the opportunity to come back.

Quaint bungalow for two with an adjustable bed and amazing waterfall shower.

We stayed in the one bedroom for four nights. The kitchen was well stocked with all you could want to make a meal. It was nice having a kitchen table to eat those meals. The living area was also comfortable. The massage chair was great! It was nice in these times of covid to have a unit to ourselves and no interaction with anyone (a code for the door was texted to us). It's conveniently located in Custer to any where you might want to go. So why the average review? Well first the towels were shabby. The ends were frayed with strings hanging off. They would have made it to my rag pile if they were mine. The top sheet of the bed had the same problem. The rest of our reasons pertain to what we didn't like. What bothers one traveler may not bother another. The bedroom was so small the only thing that fit in it was a queen size bed. To us it was a depressing cave. We would much rather have a tv in the living area not in the bedroom. We would rather have a dresser than a gaming table and chairs so as not to live out of a suitcase.. How many places do two people need to sit? I wouldn't suggest to anyone not to stay here it just wasn't a good fit for us to return.

These bungalows are an absolute gem in Custer, SD. They are conveniently located in downtown (Custer is not very big, but these are exceptionally convenient). The decor is fabulous... the shower plays MUSIC and you can adjust the ambient temperature in the shower (It's a "smart" shower, and it spoils you!!). Great bath amenities (high quality conditioner, shampoo, lotion, bath gel). Plenty of towels. The bed is a Purple Bed (like tempurpedic but more comfortable) and it remote control adjustable, massages, and is very comfy. There is a central courtyard with a firepit. Parking is right in front, safe and convenient. Cannot say enough good things about this place!

I liked not having a check in desk (CoVid) and that all of my questions were answered via text. A very well kept property.

We stayed two nights in Bungalow #9 and could have spent a week there. The bungalows are adorable and comfortable, as well as quiet. Loved the self check in. They were prompt to send us a key code and offer any assistance. The bed was so comfortable! And the walk in shower was great, but a little slippery. The kitchenette was functional. A gentleman stopped by when the Google deadlock stopped working and was so helpful with dinner and breakfast recommendations. We will definitely visit again. There were a couple of things that we would change if asked, but they didn't take away from the stay. There wasn't any ice or ability to make ice. (we get it with Covid, but it was a small hassle). And there weren't any drawers to unpack our stuff into in either the bathroom or bedroom. We like to unpack, especially as we were on the road for a month. Also, no dishwasher, but my husband is the dishwasher at home, so he is handy to have around. And the only TV was in the bedroom, but that wasn't really an issue as the bed was so comfortable to watch tv in (you just had to make sure to duck when you walked under it as it drops down from the ceiling for viewing.)

Yep, this was a fantastic stay. The room was super clean. Great sleep. 6 jet shower was awesome. Coffee in the room and ready. Amazing bowl of snacks waiting on the table and fridge. Amazing stay and I would 100% stay again.

The cleanliness is top notch, easily the best we’ve experienced anywhere. The room was equipped with top of the line stylish decor, an adjustable massaging Purple mattress, steam shower, and the list just goes on. The icing on the cake was individual communication from the owner making sure our stay was exactly what we expected. She was very genuine and truly willing to provide anything we needed. 5 STARS!
