The room was nicely updated, and the shower was fantastic. The location of the property is by a major road, so it was noisy, but I slept fine as it served a sort of white noise for me personally. If you’re sensitive to absolute silence this would not be the place for you. My main complaint was with cleanliness. I stayed for two nights and there was no cleaning service during my stay. There were small hairs around in the bathroom and there was even a poop stain on the wall by the toilet. The room was very nicely updated though, and spacious.

The Crystal Inn Representative that we checked out with on day 1 did his best to be helpful, but he seemed limited in what he could do. He told us that we would need to come back in person at 7 am the next day to speak to the manager, which is something we could not feasibly do after checking out of here literally the first day of our stay due to poor room conditions, booking a proper hotel last minute, and Ubering all the way to our hotel. We said that we would correspond with the manager over the phone and confirmed the phone number with the representative. Unfortunately, the phone will ring and ring until it drops. There is not even a voicemail option. Booking.com (who we booked through) is unable to reach them over the phone and email, as well.

The quality of Crystal Inn Downtown was not as advertised -- I am surprised that they have such a high rating on Booking.com. Within hours of our stay, we found cockroaches. The room is also very dirty — previous guests’ hair and lots of crumbs, dust, and food are across the floor and in the refrigerator. The only window does not close all of the way or lock -- someone can literally open the window from the outside. There is not even a screen on the window. The curtain rings on the curtains are broken. Several walls are covered with unknown stains. I have photos and videos of all of these issues, however I cannot upload videos here. I am very dissatisfied and now have to deal with a possible roach infestation in my belongings. To make matters worse, neither Booking.com nor I have been able to reach Crystal Inn over the phone or email for an entire week so far. Vermin is a health violation -- I should be issued a full refund, especially because we have proof of the conditions of the room. I'm not one to normally leave poor reviews, but I am appalled. I would've been willing to not leave a review, but keeping my hundreds of dollars and avoiding calls and emails is inexcusable. To the Managers at Crystal Inn Downtown: please make things right and answer your phone and/or email and authorize my refund for the stay of 12/30/24 to 01/02/25. I have spent hours on the phone with multiple Booking.com representatives and they are not able to issue the refund -- you are. They encouraged me to leave a review detailing my experience in the hopes that this will finally get your attention. I deserve to have my money back, as the conditions of the room put my health at risk and have caused me undue distress. My reservation number is 4704080588. I do not want to have to escalate this to the Health and Safety investigation team at Booking.

Clean an nice

My first room was a smoking room. I reserved this by accident, but I was surprised to know that places still had these. The sheets on the bed were visibly stained. (I could see the giant stain from across the room) Gross. The front desk staff was good about getting me a different room. The front desk staff are in a bullet-proof plexi cage; which signals it's not in a safe area! The rooms have been recently remodeled, but the weird blue 'mood' lights over the bed indicated what type of motel this was. Someone pounded on my door at 2am. I stayed 1 uncomfortable night (had reserved it for 4) and switched hotels. If you're looking for a place for a one-night or one-hour stand type of thing, this is it.
