Lovely family run hotel with a wonderful history. Very welcoming and always very attentive to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The property has a lovely pool overlooking Sorrento and Naples bay which is wonderful. Very quiet location as well. Ideal for relaxing away from the busy tourist spots.

Beds were not so comfortable and bathroom could do with some shelves

Our stay at Villa Giusso was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the tranquil hills above the Amalfi Coast, this beautifully restored 16th-century monastery offered an experience that was both serene and deeply enriching. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the quiet majesty of the place — a blend of historical charm, natural beauty, and genuine hospitality. The villa itself is a masterpiece. Every corner tells a story: from the ancient stone walls and arched ceilings to the original frescoes and the cloistered gardens that seem to breathe history. Yet, despite its rich past, the property is perfectly maintained and offers all the comforts you could hope for. Our room was spacious, elegant, and tastefully preserved, with sweeping views of the coastline and surrounding countryside. Waking up to birdsong and the scent of citrus from the nearby groves was a daily gift. Breakfasts were a particular highlight — fresh, local ingredients served in a sunlit dining room. We also LOVED a the community dinner. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and thoughtfulness of the hosts. They were generous with their time, sharing stories about the villa’s history, offering recommendations for hidden gems in the area, and always ensuring we felt at home. Their passion for the place is evident, and it made our experience feel deeply personal. Villa Giusso is not just a place to stay — it’s a place to connect: with nature, with history, and with the quieter, more reflective rhythms of life. We left feeling rested, inspired, and already longing to return.

"An historic gem with wonderful hospitality and delicious food and wine. A must visit….!"

10.0

We had the warmest welcome and a fascinating stay. Erminia was so welcoming and full of the most interesting information. Thank you to her and her family for sharing their home with us. We had dinner there twice and on both occasions the meals and wines were absolutely delicious. We also thoroughly enjoyed the home made cakes with coffee.

The property was delightful and an historic gem, but we did find it to be quite a challenge to get there on the narrow roads. That said, we are planning to return sometime soon!

"Absolutely wonderful place."

10.0

It’s a very unique place, and we liked everything about it, especially amazing dinners and breakfast in the kitchen with original 17th century tiles on the wall. The apartment was exceptional.

The road to the top of the mountain is a challenge. You need a small car (smaller than you think) with automatic gearbox and courage. However, after driving to and from a couple of times you will get a hang of it, and the location is worth it.

"Magical place overlooking the Amalfi coast"

10.0

Mamma mia, we are back from Villa Giusso and I simply can't take it out from my mind and heart. This place is a completely magical blend of history, charm, nature, beauty and hospitality. Who would believe that in the middle of the posh area of Amalfi coast, with its glitter and excitement, reigns on the hill a place of miracle and peace? The old world looks with indulgence at the new world unfolding at its feet. Everything is unique at Villa Giusso: the old monastery with a rich history, the owners story, once one of the richest and noble families of Napoli, the location watching over the golf and the Vesuvius, the greenery of the domain with the healing olive trees, the little pool seated almost up in the skies, with a breathtaking view, the original majolica tiles kitchen, the absolutely interesting museum in the attic's and not last, the special rooms furnished with many original but comfortable pieces of antique furniture. Every evening the dinner in the old kitchen, together with the italian family and the other guests was a delight. The ladies from the village cooked us delicious italian dishes, with fresh ingredients from the farm belonging to the Masseria. We were lucky to share the place with two lovely German families with whom we instantly clicked and spend joyful meals and after drinks plus an extraordinary domain walk. We hope to meet them again in Germany or Romania. The place is a true wonder but the condiment giving the aroma is Mrs Erminia, one of the two owning sisters, who took care of us. Rarely I meet somebody so attentive to its guests, she immediately feels if you need something and gracefully finds a solution. I still have her beautiful and cheerful laugh in my head as I see her leading us through the olive trees like a fairy spreading around joy and energy. You can see she is a genuine and caring person.

"Beautiful, romantic, peaceful."

This property is spectacular. Great staff, food, amenities. Incredible place to stay on holiday.

There was confusion about checkout and being able to charge the credit card on file for meals. However, the situation was worked out with management.
