Beautiful apartment stunning views from balcony

There are QR codes in the door to help you but I think there should be more paper information of buses , taxis , supermarkets and a guest book for visitors to fill in to share information with tips and advice from there stay which is standard in the uk . I believe they should leave a welcome pack ie bread , milk , coffee , tea and basic kitchen stuff because of the location . The property is a 30 minute walk to ferry terminal there is a path that’s cuts through the winding roads but we found the road easier . The apartment was fine and views fantastic but didn’t realise access to Varenna would be that difficult as roads really steep managed to get the bus up a couple of days and found a supermarket up the hill which was a 20 minute walk.

The house has a great location for traveling by car. It has an extraordinary view. We escaped the crowds and spent time on our balcony.

The only thing that bothered us was the strong sewage smell inside.

Fantastic views and overall apartment was fantastic, clean, comfortable and quiet.

Confusion as to who to call when you have concerns at the rental...we had a few concerns and sent them to the email listed by Booking.com as a direct line to the rental company however received no communication in return.. Coffee make was present but no coffee pot. TV not connected or working and less than 1 tsp coffee in canister ( have to say unsure if coffee was supposed to be included). Would have been helpful to know taxi is scarce in October. Uber will not accept you r request. Buses and ferries were great but access to bus schedule and drop on, hop on locatiins to get to the peopeery would have been extremely helpful. One in our party has knee problems and transportation to and from rental unit was a challenge but we finally figured it out.

View was amazing. The balcony was so peaceful and beautiful but we only sat outside early mornings or late evenings...which was ruined by the heavy smokers below us. 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 nights was ridiculous. FYI kitchen soap behind trash can. Unfortunately, the bed and pillows were not comfortable.

Their was plenty of parking and the apartment was only a very short walk from the car park. It was easy to gain access to the apartment, where a welcome gift of wine and snacks was waiting for us. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, although it could possibly benefit from a little TLC as some things were a little tired looking and there were lots of duplicated pieces of equipment which felt a little cluttered, but nothing that spoilt the stay. The apartment had amazing views and was ideally located for exploring the area. The pool was lovely and was never busy, we often had the whole pool to ourselves. I can definitely recommend this apartment and area for anyone who wants to visit Lake Como.

The walk down to Varenna via the steps was not too bad, however the walk back up was very challenging. I would recommend you have a car and park in the train station car park, where you can leave it all day whilst you go off and explore. There is an App, Easy Park, which you can download which makes it easy to park anywhere.
