Wachapreague Inn

I'd read reviews left by others prior to our visit, and was able to get a 2 night reservation a few days before our planned visit. My husband and I wanted lodging off the beaten path with a restaurant nearby. The Wachapreague Inn was perfect. We stayed in Room #18, with a king bed, super comfortable mattress, plenty of hot water for showers, nice size TV, little table with a couple chairs, coffee pot and more. The staff was friendly, focused on making sure we were comfortable, and had what we needed. We also liked the 2 outside chairs underneath the cover of the extended roof. I enjoyed early morning and evening walks, down main street, snapping pictures along the way. We ate both evenings at the Island House, just a few steps from the Inn. Food and service were top notch both times. We'll definitely stay here again.

Staff was eager to offer suggestions for food and entertainment. Very friendly and courteous.

The Wachapreague Inn is a diamond in the rough. It’s the perfect place to stay while on a fishing or hunting. It would also make a great place for families to overnight when traveling along the Eastern shore. If you’re looking for an exotic 5 star resort with fancy pools and spas, go elsewhere. If you want a clean room with hospitable hosts at an affordable price, then this is the place for you.

Very clean, fresh and sharp. Staff was very helpful and knew their cs skills. Nice area. A bit annoying to have to attend to toilet running couple times. Overall decent place.

Pretty

Upon arrival, we had an issue with the TV. Assistance from staff was timely as was a resolution. Outside temps were in the high 80’s and AC unit worked hard to bring room temp to 70 degrees. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was included in room fee.

Great place and great people. The location is super - right by the water and across the street from the very nice Island House Restaurant. Try the flounder! A nice art gallery just up the main street - had a great talk about the local scene with owners Bob and Julie. Back to the hotel. The rooms are large and clean. A great starting point for birders. An easy breakfast by the front desk. A stand of bikes for visitors to use. We left a ring in our room. Got a call from the hotel within an hour that housekeeping found it - can we come back for it or they will send it to us. They sent the ring - the owner took the ring up to the UPS store in Onley a few towns away. No issues. That is great service in my opinion. Hats off to Hannah at the front desk.

We just loved this place, Can't wait till we return. Easy check in great value. The room was very nice. Nice comfy bed. Shower was awesome. Wife loved it was very soft water. Nice walk across the street to a great seafood restaurant. Must try there clam Chowder!

The front desk staff were amazing! They had answers for all the questions we asked about the area. Stanley greeted us with a purr. He has to be the sweetest cat ever! Shower water was perfectly hot, bed was comfy. Easy drive to restaurants and sights in the area. We were there in the winter and plan on coming back in the spring.
