Cairns Rainforest Retreat

Staff were lovely, pool area was nice, unique treehouse cabin was a novelty, 10 mins from town centre, grounds and forest were beautiful location. Liked that only two cabins on the property so felt very private, especially as we were only couple for 2 nights.

As others have said, it is not clean enough. Shower had soap scum, dust and cobwebs throughout, toilet wall does not reach ceiling so no privacy, doors do not close properly so big gaps that lets bugs in, dirty cutlery. Everything just needed a good clean so this felt like glamping more than a luxe getaway! On top of that, our room was not serviced at all for our 3 night stay which was a shock. Common area by pool is nice but there is no TV as per photos, and limited complimentary items. Was some old cereal available by the pool for breakfast but that was it. No welcome instructions so we didn't realise there was wifi until morning we checked out. Outside light was broken, which they did ask if was bothering us, but it was unable to be fixed during our stay, and as there are no blinds it was a bit annoying. Oh, and as no blinds the top cabin can see into the bottom cabin and the sun will wake you up. There is also no place to hang up or store your clothes and room is smaller than it appears in pics. For the price i would expect better.

Great rainforest experience in a good location. Staff were really helpful and considerate as cyclone jasper had just landed and caused significant issues in cairns. Pool was really nice.

In the huts the doors didn’t shut completely which let a few bugs in and the rainforest can be quite loud at night. Curtains may help this.

The tranquil setting and relaxed nature of the owners made this an incredibly relaxing break. The cabins are so clean, beautiful and have everything you need. The owners can't do enough for you.

So peaceful and quiet

Room/cabin was SO wonderful. Felt like we were alone in the rainforest, visited by unique birds within easy sight and earshot. Antjie was absolutely gracious, helpful and a wonderful host. Very helpful with recommendations for things in the area. Didn't have time to take advantage of beautiful infinity pool or deck, but looked very inviting.

Shower in the hot tub was not a great situation, but we made it work.
