Relais Country House

A gem of a place in a location that can't be beat if you are touring the Pompeii Scavi. The establishment in itself is very good - clean, comfortable rooms with great views of the Vesuvius. The restaurant is an added bonus with great food and drinks. But the absolute clincher is the ever-helpful and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Grazie Paolo, Domenico and, of course, others whose names I couldn't get.

Smaczne śniadania z bardzo dobrą kawą. Bardzo blisko do parku archeologicznego w Pompejach. W pobliżu stacja, z której odjeżdżają pociągi do Neapolu i Sorrento. W pobliżu smaczna pizza w dobrej cenie (la Volpe Dorata)

Perfect location if you plan to visit the ruins in Pompei or Herculaneum. Within walking distance (10-15min) to the main entrance to the Pompei excavation grounds (Porta Marina) and the railway station "Pompei Scavi" of the Circumvesuviana line just across the street from the main entrance. Our room on the upper floor of the main building was comfortable and spacious and had a balcony which afforded a fantastic view towards Capri and Mount Vesuvio.. Very convenient to have on-site a restaurant which serves Neapolitan cuisine (Osteria Nonna Cherubina, where also excellent breakfast is being served). Secure, ample parking. Contrary to our concerns, the busy Autostrada A3, which is in rather close distance to the property, turned out not to be a nuisance.

Finding the place arriving by car was a bit tricky, our navigation system pointed us into the wrong direction. The easiest is to head to the main entrance Porta Marina / railway station Pompei Scavi on "Via Villa dei Misteri", continue to follow this road, turn left into "Via Diomede" at the end of the road, cross the railroad tracks and after another ca. 50m enter the parking lot of the Osteria Nonna Cherubina at your left - and you are right there.

Personale molto disponibile. Struttura accogliente, ottima colazione. Posizione strategica per visitare il parco archeologico (10 minuti a piedi). Consigliatissimo.

Great location for visiting Pompeii and getting to the station and can also walk to the MaxiMall shopping centre. Very clean and comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast excellent. Restaurant in the evening also very good. Recommended to us by friends and we were very pleased we had followed their advice.
