Garden Terrace Fukuoka Hotel & Resort

Room amenities and the venue - very nicely designed. Cleanliness tip-top. We had access to the lounge bar in the evening - we liked that.

Location - rather good for people arriving by car, as it is rather complicated to arrange connections via metro/taxi/walk. Not really a pedestrian area. We didn't notice that the language is "Japanese only" so we had to do a bit extra translation to communicate well.

Love the spacious room and comfortable bed

The location is very far from interesting parts of Fukuoka. I had a car, luckily. The shopping, restaurants and Ferris wheel nearby, are all closed permanently. The staff don’t speak any English. As in, any. We all use google translate. Check in was fully via reading google translate. This is fine, until you need something. Trying to order breakfast is very difficult. They rang our room at 11pm to say something on menu was sold out. I don’t know what service is like if you speak Japanese. They seem friendly. But it’s by far the most difficult hotel to communicate in, in our month here.

Very impressive looking hotel. Quite rare to get an outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi which was nice, and the communal areas look good. The room was generously sized, spacious, well equipped, and the cherry on top was the wonderful spacious walk in shower and spa bath.

The staff was a bit uninviting, they seemed always surprised to see us and gave us an unwelcoming feeling with each interaction. English level was mediocre and required a translation app for something simple like asking for extra sugar in our room. The gym was extremely basic with just 4 aerobic machines. No restaurants within walking distance. Far from the city centre, so would require a pretty lengthy taxi trip (about half an hour). The room was a bit noisy, facing the main road and would have benefitted from double glazed windows to minimize street noise.

Property is a little far from town and nearest subway. However staffs are great
