Perfect location to walk the town!

The location of the hotel is great. We were in the old part of Matera which made walking through the town easy.

Nothing.

Very good location, nice balcony, super comfortable, amazing pillows.

The shower was a bit hard to use.

The property is situated perfectly on the edge of the Sassi. We had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the city. On our last night, we were actually blessed to see fireworks right out of the door. Everything was very clean. Alessandra was extremely welcoming and gave us recommendations of restaurants and a guide to touring the sassi. It was a quick walk to everything.

The location in the old town….walking distance (many hills) to everything. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the a/c in great working order. The host organized a taxi from the bus drop to the sassi.

Naturally, there are many steps to the bedroom. This can’t be helped bc the charm of the city is that the rooms are built into the caves.

I personally didn’t stay here. I booked it for my daughter who was on her honeymoon and she said it was absolutely fabulous. The only thing that they said was a bit negative and it really wasn’t negative is that you have to use the key to get the air conditioning to stay on, so you have to be in the room. So when they came back, this was in July it was very hot. Other than that they loved it!!!
