Too many steps on the boat and no entertainment at night

We stayed in a Royal Suite and our room was stunningly beautiful, as was our views. We are so glad that we booked a suite, it made for a great reason to want to stay in our room and enjoy that and enjoy our own company. We used their on board day spa for a couples full body massage before bed and that was probably one of the most relaxing massages we had on our whole Vietnam trip - the ladies did an amazing job. The boat was beautifully appointed and sunset cocktails on the top deck was breathtakingly amazing! The staff were friendly, helpful and very courteous. The day time activities, particularly the kayaking was quite lovely. We also opted to swim off the back of the boat in the bay, as opposed to swimming in the pool. The quality of the boat, the staff, the service, the food and the suite is why I do rate this cruise - but I would be would be wary of the quality of other guests if I was to consider booking again.

We were disappointed with the lack of diversity of the groups of people on board the boat - unfortunately, instead of families or couples, more than 50% of the guests for our trip was single Indian men - not sure whether that happens regularly or not, but it made for a somewhat unpleasant experience for us (and other guests on board who we also chatted with, they felt the same) as their presence was just so dominant. Unfortunately, a number of them acted terribly which did impact our cruise. Some had no manners or courtesy for anyone else, pushing to get on/off boats first, getting in first at the buffet - a few of them didn't utilise the serving utensils at the buffet (they used their hands) and the way some just stared at women, made me feel uncomfortable (thus we happily stayed in our suite at night time). Some appeared to used to pool for bathing instead of swimming. Some were loud and rude, some caused some issues at the day spa that night (which was across the hall from our room) looking for "extra services". At one point, I tried to use a female toilet in the dining area, only to find that there was several men in there changing clothes and I physically couldn't get in. The boat probably needs completely separate MENS and LADIES toilet facilities, not have them both in the same room, with a cubicle allocated for each. Would be better if they had a designated smoking area instead of people smoking wherever - the smoke was unpleasant at cocktail hour. Karaoke could be heard from all over the boat. There is a smaller boat that transfers you to Rita Cruise and that takes about 40mins - it was not overly comfortable. Also, flagging the fact that breakfast is served 6.45-7.30am (we decided to miss breakfast, it was just too early), but they did do an early lunch prior to departure at 9.40am, which made up for it at least.

The cruise has been amazing, we enjoyed every bit of it! The ship itself is beautiful and the staff is extremely kind and available, especially Jack and Hana. All the activities we did were super fun and we had the time to explore with the kayak different caves and the bay! The food was good, with not only Vietnamese food but different type and options!

Nothing it was really great

Everything, the rooms were beautiful, really well maintained, the view was amazing, something people don’t talk about is where on Ha long bay you are, we were in such a nice area with very little boats around us! They have a SkyView bar which is beautiful for sunset, the pool is a great touch, the food for lunch is great and dinner was amazing! Some options if you don’t like seafood also! Staff couldn’t do enough for you and would love to shout out Jack the Barman who stayed up extra late for us Irish lot😂 and Elise the staff manager who was amazing with us the whole time! So many activities that you can do if you like, we choose to just enjoy the boat as our room was so nice!

Breakfast at 7.30am for those who like a drink😂 but early lunch at 9.40am makes up for it so nothing really!
