This place was so run down and dirty. There was an old bar of soap in the shower, stains on all towels and sheets, hair on the sheets, the door safety lock doesn’t close all the way, beds are like blocks, everything is so outdated by 30+ years. I’m surprised the hotel chain allows this to stay open. When leaving, the front desk clerk asked me “tip for me? Multiple times! Absolutely not.

extremely dirty only stayed because everywhere was booked staff was rude and spoke very poor english

A tad underwhelming at $96/night but covered the three basics I was looking for: clean bed, working A/C, and a working refrigerator. Not the worst neighborhood, but plenty of transients about in the parking lot and stairwells all evening. Also a sheriff that sat in the middle of parking lot with his car idling away for hours on end, but never exiting his vehicle or interacted with anyone. This place was really good

Lyft driver seemed shocked dropping us here. We were stranded in Chicago due to flight getting cancelled and this was last minute reservation that was available. Staff showed us room. Room was right next to office where we checked in. He opened the room door and turned on the AC. Just for that asked for tip. We noted “nap rate” signs. Smoke alarm was removed and chirping all night. When I pointed out the chirping he acted as he didn’t hear it. We saw a toilet commode right outside the office area. Towel thin. Felt I was cleaner before using the towel. It provided shelter but did not feel secure and safe here.
