The Abbey Inn & Spa

Hotel is beautiful, but very limited things to do. Just one restaurant with very slow service! Food was good, but service was disappointing! Also, it was freezing in the restaurant, They could have done something for the heat I guess. It is not a cheap hotel at all!

Coupled with a Spa Day, tranquil and relaxing experience!

We had a fantastic stay! Ashley and Bryan at the front desk are incredible! The spa was fantastic. We loved our facials. Our dinner was superb as was our river-view in our room. It was the perfect getaway and we can’t wait to come back. This was perfect for my mind and soul.

A tranquil and relaxing oasis with a high perch in the Hudson Valley. I don’t usually write a lot of hotel reviews but I think all the things you’d care about (warm and professional staff, well appointed comfortable rooms with all the modern conveniences, a great restaurant super well integrated into the building) are present in spades. The building itself is gorgeous, and the Abby Inn does a good job of highlighting some of the history of Fort Hill and things to do in the Lower Hudson Valley. Even the photograph series in the hallways helps set the tone for your stay in a really great way and adds to the sense of place. My wife and I will be back and next time maybe for an extra night.

What’s not to love at this place?! This was my first visit to The Abbey Inn. I went with my friend to celebrate my birthday and everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. The supervisor Angela went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met. The general manager, Garrett also checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We had spa services located on site. I had the best massage with Steve which included a complimentary foot treatment. Dinner at Apropose was delicious from the wonderful signature drinks, entree and dessert. Our waiter Jhonny was amazing. We ended our stay with a lovely complimentary breakfast overlooking the Hudson River before heading home. I am already planning my next visit!

The hotel is wonderful. Clean and the beds were very comfortable. We tried the restaurant, salmon and a beautiful cheese board. It was delicious. Service was also very good. The view of the river is beautiful. It’s an easy drive from the city. I spoke to the manager and she mentioned that they changed management recently and made significant improvements.

This was a getaway with friends and the Abbey was SO lovely. Service was amazing - special shout-out to Francis and to Denise, who helped us sort out/change our rooms. The rooms are a bit plain but chock full of amenities — refrigerated drawer, charging lamp, magnificent bathroom. Only downside was how cold the rooms and halls were — it was very cold out and I guess difficult to heat everything. But overall a lovely stay, very clean, great service.
