The Abbey Inn & Spa

Donnan and Ben were amazing! Faith and McKenzie were so sweet!!! We love coming to the Abbey! Food is always amazing, service top notch and the view doesn’t hurt either!!!!

The Inn is a historical and gorgeous building in an incredible setting on a hilltop with amazing views. When outside you feel as though you are in a European village. The interior is filled with lovely artwork, photography and sculptures. The furnishings are nice but not impressive, particularly the guest bedrooms. The restaurant was pretty but I was expecting more from the quality and taste of the food, especially given the fact that the hotel boasts mention in the Michelin Guide. All in all an exceptional stay.

I took my daughter for a last minute getaway to The Abbey Inn and Spa. All aspects of our trip were wonderful and we were not easy guests. We made use of almost all the amenities and all were great. Special thanks to Cory the valet (first day and he was amazing) and Steven in the Spa. The grounds and view are just lovely. Our room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our brunch in the restaurant and our services in the spa. Quick tip regarding the pool-ask the front desk and you will receive a really cute beach bag with towels and water for your use. Every detail was thoughtful and special. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. A special shoutout to Laura at the front desk.

Absolutely beautiful place and Donnan at the bar is fabulous!!! Will be back and highly recommended it! Excellent service, food, and stay!

Amazing accommodations and such great staff! Very welcoming facility and nice grounds to walk. 15 minute drive from Bear Mountain and 5 minute drive to town.

Set in the charming wine cellar of the Abbey Inn Donnan Sutherland’s Mixology Class is an afternoon you will remember forever. The cocktails were sublime and the canapés were delicious but Donnan’s presentation was the star of the afternoon. His generosity of spirit and knowledge was a gift we all took with us. Wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who is looking for an afternoon adventure where time stands still and laughter and fun fills your heart…,Looking forward to his next class. Thank you Donnan!

Went to brunch they had the most amazing jazz musicians playing while we ate a delicious brunch . I give the brunch , musicians and the whole Abbey experience an exceptional rating and I wonderful place to have brunch and listen to great cool music. The views of the Hudson River magnificent. You can’t miss.

Garret the GM helped me in a crisis. The top button of my suit popped off and he personally sewed it back on for me. Fantastic staff, 10/10 recommend.

A friend and I did a Mixology course with Apropos’ resident mixologist Donnan Sutherland. It was a great experience at a super nice venue in the Abbey’s wine cellar. Not only did we learn two signature drinks, but they were also paired with filling canapés. Overall, enjoyable experience!
