Rustic Rook Resort Great Sand Dunes

We stayed in a camper cabin. First night not so great, had issues with water connection to trailer so no water in camper. Had to use public restroom/showers which were tight quarters. Water was kind of grungy. Second night was better so we could use bathroom and sink in camper. Ok experience overall since we met up with the grand kids and had fun with them.

We enjoyed the spacious tent and attention to details to make this stay very enjoyable and comfortable. We had an amazing view of the mountains and the best sunsets imaginable.

This is a “glamping” experience not a traditional hotel, so understand that you are in a tent and there are bugs and natural sounds and fellow campers. The property has a beautiful view of Great Sand Dunes National Park and the surrounding mountains. The staff are warm and friendly and make the stay very easy and fun. We had some summer thunderstorms pass through in the night but were cozy and comfortable in our tent, which included wooden floors, 3 single beds, 2 chairs and a stove. We were provided lanterns and usb chargers. Unique family experience that made our national park vacation very special.

Very helpful staff. Eric was awesome. Bring your bug spray — lots of mosquitoes as expected.

Great location and the staff were very friendly!

This property exceeded all our expectations. The tent was a great size for two people and the bed was so comfy! The workers were so lovely and have a bonfire each night with s'mores and hot chocolate. The weather wasn’t great while we were there (incredibly windy and pouring rain through the night) the tent felt completely safe and sturdy.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cabins are pretty clean and very cute! The property itself has a wonderful view of the sand dunes! Will go again !!

Annette and team are wonderful! If you are in the fence about adding evening meals or lunches to your tab…don’t be! Alomosa is further than you think. We will definitely stay again!
