Rustic Rook Resort Great Sand Dunes

Our tent was attractive, but it was FREEZING overnight. They can’t furnish a tent like a hotel room (ie sheet lightweight comforter) and expect guests to be comfortable when the temp drops into the 30s overnight (in June). They need piles of blankets in there. Comfy mattress, but I was too cold to sleep much.

The rustic rook is a great place to stay if you are in the area! Our tent was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Check in was very easy and fast. This is a place to unplug and take in all the beautiful scenery. We definitely will be back!

Most beautiful location to camp

The host/workers were awesome! Property was really cute and relaxing. Just a wonderful place to wind down and relax! Also it's glamping which is great

Accommodations were fabulous. We loved it. Our host Mike was awesome. Very knowledgeable of the area and eager to answer our questions and what he did not know immediately he found out for us. Matt made sure we were warm and had s’mores at the nightly fires. Great scenic views of the sand dunes and mountain range. Great night viewing. Highly recommend.

Loved the entire experience. Staff super nice, amazing location/setting, burger delicious and beds super comfy. I was so nervous about ‘camping’ but it was a great experience. No complaints at all!

Wonderful place for a unique trip! Our family stayed in one of the tents with attached bath. The weather was chilly, but the in-tent stove kept us warm at night. All of the staff were wonderful and we enjoyed chatting with them and other visitors during breakfast and over S'mores at the nightly campfire.
