Clute is lovely!

Everything was very old and not updated like the guy at the desk claimed it would be. 2nd day a roach ran under the door to the empty frig. The desk was too small for my laptop. All towels and linen was very worn out.

Customer greetings by the attendant was warm and welcoming. Although it was not the fanciest lodging our basic needs were met. Our stay was comfortable and quiet. The room was clean and roomy. The only thing that they could improve upon is providing more towels.

Roaches everywhere. Talked to the front desk and they said they would send someone but they never came.

I really appreciate the quietness in and around the property.

The stay was as expected.

Worse stay ever! There was a roach crawling on the wall and a hole in bathroom door.  Blood stains on the sheets (I prayed they were stains and not fresh; couldn't tell.)  The next morning, I found a dead roach between the sheets!  Stains on the carpet, stain on the shower curtain, and the shower curtain rod was broken. Stains and bits of debris in the stairwell; they must never vacuum.  There's a reason they have a sign at the front desk stating refunds will only be given within the first 45 minutes of your stay.  The management and staff should be fired or retrained in how to do their job.  OYO - on your own; that about sums it up. I would have left except I was with other family members in town for a funeral. Trip Advisor would be doing a service to their members by removing OYO Clute from their online hotel list.

Live Roaches in the room, dirty blankets and sheets, dingy towels, even though facility was smoke free cigarette burns on curtains, sheets, comforter, and shower walls. One light in ceiling and it was like a spotlight. We were in town for a viewing and a funeral with little time to spare otherwise we would have walked out. They boasted a 6.8 star rating and there is no way in the world that is true unless it was full of family and friends comments from the manager. I would not recommend to my worst enemy and that is saying something.
