Went to catch up with friends at lunchtime. It was busy, but I got served easily by wendy, who recommended the £5 deal for the New Yorker. Great Bargain definitely will be going again and will recommend it to friends and family may be in Friday for the bogof burger deal

Stayed New Years Day and had the breakfast before leaving the next day. Check in was quick and efficient and we had the best service from Wendy and her team! Very chatty and friendly and the breakfast was cooked perfectly! Will stay again!! Thank you again!!

Went there to eat the other day after along drive, Adam was very polite and professional, very warm and friendly. I've gone here with family every time they come through to Chester, as the food is always top-notch and always arrived pretty quickly. There's so many places to choose from, so the fact that myself and my family continue to return here says a lot. We've never had a bad time here and I don't know of anyone who has. Would absolutely go back again, would absolutely be a better city of all staff everywhere as friendly as Adam.

Booked a room here just for a night as it was our anniversary so we had plans to eat in Chester . Can’t say about the food as we didn’t eat in there not even breakfast , For the price of the room it was ok for 1 night stay , our room was small room 3 , bed comfy but didn’t sleep much because of noise from room above until 3am , walls must be very thin coz could hear a man coughing through the night in next room , The way in after hours was through the back of pub through an emergency door , so as people were coming in the door was banging shut , The overall accomadation side of things looks like it needs some money spent on it , walls in corridor plaster chipped off as if they have had damp coming through the walls , would I stay again no , but anyone wanting a cheap night stay it would be ok , maybe on the higher floor , the rooms might be bigger & better ,

The check-in staff was fantastic. She ensured we were welcome and checked in efficiently. The room was clean if small and too hot. Clean towels were available and discounts available through the blue light card. Enough condiments for two cuppas would have been welcomed, and maybe a biscuit. Overall, the room served its purpose as we stayed one night for the Christmas market.

Good location - staff friendly and helpful - room lightening very dull to read anything only bathroom light bright - no lifts only stairs - beds were small I was frightened to turn over incase I fell out of bed - seems an old building g needs a refurb to modernise it - windows didn’t open to stay open enough to get signing and radiators in a timer room very warm- otherwise it served the purpose glad we only stayed 1 night

Stayed overnight room large & comfortable with everything you needed. Clean bedding & towels. Bonus of the large pub underneath. Value for money food & drink. Loved the large tvs showing all football games. Could do with security lights up the side when leaving in the dark ! Large car park straight on the main road. Thank you will stay again

Catered to our needs well. Addressed our concern promptly and fed us well and affordably.

On arrival we were given an upgrade to a superior room, which was an unexpected bonus. The ensuite room, overlooking the front car park was clean and spacious. As far as the restaurant was concerned, the environment and food was not to our liking. If you know and like the Hungry Horse brand, then you would be ok. We found the restaurant to be noisy, with TV screens everywhere, even in the alcove seating areas. It was very busy, with much queuing at the bar to order. As well as being a hotel, it is clearly also an extremely popular venue for the locals. If you want a healthy eating menu, you would struggle to find something suitable. This is a shame, as it would prevent us from staying there in future. We found the staff in the main to be extremely helpful, trying to do their best to meet customer needs, but sometimes there was too much for them to do.

Family friendly and staff are very welcoming. We all loved the skeleton everyone seemed to want to take pictures. Loved the little dance area they did for the kids for Halloween great little set up. We will Be back again for the festive party tribute afternoon
