Darly Cottage

Size. The property had ample room to cook, eat, sleep, and relax. We loved sitting in the garden playing cards for a while enjoying a Pimms.

The location is excellent, in a quiet area but just a few minutes walk from the village centre. The instructions from the team were clear. The cottage itself is charming, and the front garden bigger than we had anticipated and lovely for tea. We liked the complimentary local food to nibble on, always a nice attention and good when you might not have had time to shop before getting there.

As many old houses, the ceilings can be low and visitors above 180 cm will have to watch their heads. Some well-placed head protection cushions on door frames or ceilings would be welcome.

The bathroom door was worpped and could only be keep closed by looking it, the tapes are the wrong way around, hot on the right not good for a blind person? There was not enough towels for 6 people only 5 the cleaner told us if we wanted more to ring. I was told I could enter the house at2pm I didn't get there till 2.20 and the cleaners were still there, The airer war broken so we dried the towels on a chair outside. There was no brush, the drain in the bath is slow to drain away so we didn't use the bath.

Great house to accommodate the 8 of us. It is in a great location with a 10 minute walk to Bourton. It was perfect for our family holiday.

The welcome hamper started off the feeling that this cottage was a great find. The team looking after the cottage were super helpful before arrival and so we were expecting a lovely stay and we weren't disappointed. The beds are super comfy, shower ensuite and bathroom great and kitchen was well equipped. Even squeezed all our cars on the driveway!! It's a quick walk to all the restaurants and attractions and lovely walks from there. There were a few recommended walks in the welcome folder and we did one of them and it was perfect!
