Darly Cottage

We had the whole house to ourselves

There was a washer but no drier so we couldn't catch up with some washing. Been travelling for 3 weeks and trying to wash as we can. Also too far to walk to township

Very cosy cottage with great parking walking distance to busy Bourton-on-the-water. Comfortable beds and loved making a fire! The welcome hamper was also excellent.

A little tired in places, but that's understandable for an old cottage that is also a rental

No heating in the dining area. Kitchen could be better stocked. the tap in the bathroom dripped continuously

The cottage was beautiful and had everything you would need. There was a lovely log fire which made the cottage cosy. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. The owner left us a lovely hamper which was a very nice touch and we all enjoyed the contents. The cottage was about a 5 minute walk to the village which is very picturesque with lots of places to eat. It was a pity it was too cold for us to sit in the garden, as it was very private and garden furniture was provided.

We arrived in the dark, all the lights were on in the cottage but it would have been helpful to have a light in the porch as it was hard to see the numbers on the key code for us to release the keys. There is a light above the porch but it wasn't on so maybe that might have made a difference. This is not a criticism just a suggestion.

Excellent location. Short walk to the town but far enough away to be lovely and quiet. Really clean. Lovely rooms

Mostly excellent. Minor issues - lock not working on bathroom door and BBQ not cleaned
