Poulo Wai Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Our welcome was absolutely wonderful and the staff helped us with a very fair upgrade and with great support from Borey. We would definitely recommend for all families visiting the city. The food and amenities were all first class Well done!!

Caught No 3 bus from airport as hotel was only a short walk from Stop 30. Really nice hotel with lovely pool, spa and well equipped fitness area. Was able to check in early after overnight flight and was upgraded to larger room with balcony. Room was very big and so was the bathroom, with separate large shower and bath. Room was serviced each day and it was good to see that they didn't change towels everyday (only on request). Breakfast was really good, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, breads/pastries, salad vegetables, nuts, hot food (could have been kept a little hotter), omelette bar and noodle bar, coffee machines but only Lipton's tea 🙁. Hotel is in a good location, not noisy at night and walking distance to museum, palace, river, central and night markets and a number of temples. Didn't need a tuktuk to get anywhere. Lots of good eating places nearby especially heading towards the river. Beds was large and comfortable with plenty of good pillows and the wifi worked well. They even provided a USB charging bank, so didn't need adaptors. Glad I booked there rather than hotel I am now at on a group tour which is way out near the Olympic Stadium, with lots of motor bike shops and few decent eating places nearby.

Due to work obligations I’ve stayed here three times over the past year, each time over ten days. It was nice to see the hotel much busier this visit, with many tour groups from France, Netherlands, China, etc. But even with the larger groups, the hotel staff still paid attention to individual travelers such as myself, and even the hotel breakfast room still seemed very relaxed and laidback. As always, the staff here are always friendly and helpful, from the front desk team to the breakfast staff, restaurant/sky bar waiters, and the housekeeping crew. Breakfast was as always comprehensive, with cooked-to-order omelette bar and Khmer-style Kuy Teav noodle soup especially appreciated. My one-bedroom was spacious, comfortable and full of natural light, with a balcony that provided excellent sky views. Very comfortable bed (not always a given in Phnom Penh), and I appreciated the big refrigerator and kitchen. Note: Kitchen may not be fully stocked with plates/cutlery/glasses, but just let the staff know what you need and they will bring it up immediately. I also appreciated the laundry machine in the one-bedroom unit! PS: there’s an excellent street food stand around the corner, just south on Str. 63, next to the Tak Coffee stand (which is also great). Looking forward to my next stay.

We have stayed at several Hotels on our trip and this has been the worst by far. The only good thing is the room except the odd cockroach Staff are lovely when you can find them Roof top bar looks nothing like photos lovely view but apart from that in total disarray tables old and not set up also the food was not good. Asked for rare and a med rare steak both well done. Also terrible breakfast
