Margaritaville Jacksonville Beach

The staff was great. The room didn't have enough stuff for 4 people. Nowhere to put all of our towels. A fake balcony where you can't even sit on. At the beach!?! The pool is not heated and was freezing in March. No room service. We came back from the beach at 5 pm and our room wasn't done yet. For the proud price they are charging it's disappointing. No carts available to carry all of our stuff. We travel a lot and went to a lot of hotels and this is definitely not one of the top.

Location was great! Right near the pier in Jax beach. Elevators were prompt and efficient. Wish there was more free parking.

The bathrooms didn’t have much pressure in the shower or sink. Was some mold at the bottom edge of the shower. Needed a little more refreshing.

The waitresses at the bar were nice and worked hard. The night worker and the lady that checked us out seemed to care

Almost everything. We were lied to about being able to use a spot in their bar area for 5 of us to sit with laptops and draft fantasy baseball teams. The bar manager greeted us very rudely and told us we could not stay, and we had done absolutely nothing. In fact we had been there the day before and spent a lot of money and took great care of his staff. When we checked in and got to our room the safe did not work. At a beach "resort" where you will be spending time at the beach, you need a safe. No one came that night to fix it. We asked again the next morning and again no one came to fix it. Finally on the 3rd day they came and "fixed it", they got it powered up, but left it locked in the open position with no way to close it and put in a code. It was late that night we found an employee who cared enough to come to our room and fix In the bar area on our first night we were charged as if I had 23 drinks! They would have had to call the EMS if I drank that much! Another couple in our group were overcharged! My wife asked for an extra blanket for the room and the lady at the desk said "what, there is already one in your room"....at the price point we paid, we did not need a smart alek remark, we needed an extra blanket. It's also a place that prides itself as a "beach resort" and yet they do not have a heated pool. Me and my wife travel a lot, this is the worst hotel experience I can ever remember having **I did not get the name of the lady who checked us out, but she genuinely seemed to care about our problems and discounted our valet. She needs to be running the place!

Nice beach, nice view, crap hotel.....

Under staffed. No luggage carts available because they only have around 8 of them for the entire hotel and they are tiny and crappy. I had a guy waiting on me to load my car so he could snag mine. check in and out is on 2nd floor, so you and your stuff needs to stop there during check out, wait in a long line with the last of the carts, then get back in the busy elevator and attempt to get to the first floor where your car is, maybe. had some type of swarm of bugs on the ceiling of our room, above the bed....sand gnats? had to change rooms after unpacking... Floor in shower felt slick, like it wasn't cleaned... a Margaretville with no bellhops? One of the reasons we pay extra to stay at a Margaritaville is we need help with the parking and the bags.. No room service? So if those things matters to you, go somewhere else...

The first room wasn’t clean. Dirty underwear. The motel should have given us another trip,because after seeing the dirty underwear that was left behind, the room even though, we moved to another room, we still enjoy ourselves.

Beautiful direct ocean view, clean room, the only think the window to the ocean is to small and I could open it.
