Auhof Wirtshaus & Suiten

We've spent a wonderfull holiday. The view from the balcony is magic. The place is situated at the foot of the slope. We highly recommend it. The place has a restaurant and the food is very good. For sure we will go again next winter. We recommend Auhof for families and not only.

Hotel Auhof is very nice hotel, with nice personal and great kitchen, we will come back next year for sure :-) beautifull place, view to Kitzsteinhorn, way for bikes just next the hotel, thank you to all family Rauter !

Everything is perfect - food, service and location. Best view on Maiskogel mountain. Very stylish interior. Menu is various, you can satisfy your needs. The service is friendly and careful. VERY GOOD!!!

Lately reconstructed typical austrian pension, changed into the very modern rooms with latest technology equipment. Good location either to Tauern spa or to bicycle or to skii. Clean rooms with small kitchen, free of charge using nespresso coffee machine.Excellent food - menu based on local producers - you can read the names who delivered meat, eggs, milk.... Very nice staff - you can see and feel it is family run business. Only remark - breakfast - very limited choice (and I really do not eat much), I missed before all fresh bread. Going to Kaprun would live there again.

We booked this hotel for a week stay Dec 26-Jan2. We paid over 400 euro for 2br apartment per day. This is not hotel at all! And certainly its not worse this money. This is hostel-apartment building with attached restaurant. No services at all! No cleaning, no change of linen, the owner sits on reception and do phone calls, same time talking to you and other guests. No other service stuff in this place, called "hotel". All other hotels were booked and it was the last try so we go through internet booking. Furniture too old, looks like they taken it from 80-th of last century or even earlier. No good speep bed. In master bedrom was small double bed on which we could not sleep. I asked to replace the bed. I am 6"-2, and my wife is 6", so for 3 days I slept on the sofa in living and I was quite angry because the guy promised to replace the bed. When I was leaving hotel owner asked me to pay 100 euro for service to change the bed which was ridiculous. Food in attached restaurant was more-less acceptable, location too - close to the mountain. But when consider the next time visit to Alps, I will never come to this "hostel" again. You think you would get hotel amenities, but you don't expect this. I will never come back again to this place, since for this money I am sure to book much nicer place for family.

We stayed for a week in a apartment in this nice hotel. All is very new and modern, spacious apartment, large balconies, nice kitchen, big bathrooms. View from our balcony to the ski-slopes which is 200 metres away from the hotel. The restaurant was very good and quite cheap, although the hotel is very modern and different than the 'usual' Austrian hotel it had a warm atmosphere. Kaprun itself is a nice little village, with lots of shops and other restaurants. This hotel is right on the edge of the village, easy to walk to the shops and easy to walk into the fields.

we stayed at the auhof in january, we was a party of 11 (adults & children) on arrival we we given an upgrade to a 2 bed apartment which was lovely and clean and spacious the hotel is family run and it shows in the service its very hands on,we ate at the hotel quite a few times and the food was very good , we would definetly return one day,the hotel is in the best position right opposite the ski lifts in the town with resturants and a supermarket nearby i would highly reccommened this hotel.
