Straw Hat Tulum

The hotel is in the perfect location in the center of Tulum Pueblo. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms are basic but clean and have that “tulum vibe” about them. The property has a great restaurant and garden as well. We felt right at home here and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Only hiccup was that they only have one hair drier and I had to wait 2 days to get one, and then they took it away after an hour. Anyways, not that big of a deal, our experience at La Tulumeña was amazing! Oh also they have bikes for rent for 150 pesos per day.

The hotel is decorated in such a unique and precious way that it truly represents Tulum with all the bamboo! The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location right in the heart of downtown and it’s wonderful having the restaurant attached with great food! Also we loved our room with the outside shower. Our only drawbacks is that the bed was very firm and hot water was extremely limited and sometimes not available for showers. Also parking on the street could be difficult depending on the time of day. In addition, other hotels I’ve stayed at in Tulum offer free bicycles but here you have to pay. Besides that everything else there was amazing!

Rustyc style, fun evening events and great margarita

The hosts are very friendly, kind and helpful. They were putting the finishing touches on their new restaurant and there was some construction noise. They gave us bikes to use for the day at no charge to make up for the inconvenience. They also gave us a free breakfast, which we ate in the gorgeous courtyard, which stayed cool throughout the day :) The beds were a bit too firm for me, but my stay was still lovely. They are very generous and lovely people, and you will be in good hands.

Everything about this hotel is prefect, the location, price and amazing staffs. You will enjoy your stay here because it’s close to everything and it’s right across the street from the bus station. I can’t believe how inexpensive this hotel is and special thanks to the morning staff, I didn’t get her name but she was very helpful, sweet and accommodating. Thanks for making my trip so wonderful. I’d definitely recommend it and stay here again.
