1. NOISY NOISY NOISY!!!!! I read reviews but I was not prepared for the level of noise from the streets…cars, horns, trains, garbage trucks, tuk tuks at all hours of the night! there is NO A/C so I had to keep the window open for air flow…which made the noise so loud. I couldn’t even hear the TV 2.towels were awful! small & crunchy (not soft at all) 3. I had to pay cash. I was told like right before I checked in to pay cash. inconvenient especially when it’s like over €200

Very clean, kitchen well-equipped. Staff friendly. The facilities had everything we needed. Two full bathrooms was great and we only had to wait once.

Waiting half an hour for someone to meet us for check-in. No air-con or fan in room and it was very hot. Street noise was disruptive early morning.

The location of the hostel is great, super close to the marina and good restaurants. The room was clean, kept in a very good condition with great bathroom and comfy beds. Around the hostel you have many great bars and restaurants.

We have been given keys to the room a bit late, despite the fact that we were asked about time of arrival to pick them up. The reception is not working at all, there is nobody at the property during the day so if you need help with anything you need to contact the property via booking.com chat, the phone is mostly switched off. There is no air conditioning in the room, only fan so the room gets very hot during a sunny day. Cleaning of the room is only done upon requesting it, so you are left with trashes in the room for days. If you open the windows it is super noisy as the streets are busy all day and night. We had a very bad experience with the owner of this property, a bit passive aggressive person. We came back to the hostel late at night, around 4 am and there was no electricity in the property so we were struggling to get into the room in the dark. Our phones were running out of batter and we couldn't charge it. There was no contact with the property other than sending a message on booking.com chat as the phone was switched off. After a long wait in the dark, we've contacted booking.com consultant to help us out. Sadly they weren't able to get hold of the property owner either. After some time we were instructed to check the electric box located somewhere in the corridor. Once the electricity was on, there was no further contact from the property to even check if we were ok. Next day we were contacted by the property owner via passive aggressive message as she was charged by Booking.com for this incident and we were blamed for that. Super unprofessional behaviour and the way of running a business.

During the winter is pretty cold since ther is no heating system. The walls are very thin and you can hear all the noises from the neighbors...this time it was very quiet though

Location is convenient for public transit. Close to Belem and a few sitops away from Baixa and Alfama

Room we we were in was a little cramped and dim.
