"It’s clean, until you look again. Okay for a quick stay. Not up to Hilton Standards."

At first, it seems clean and nice. But if you stay in hotels regularly, you know what to look for. The room is not actually clean. The microwave in the lobby is filthy. I mentioned this to the front desk, she looked in it and gave a look like I was being dramatic. I was only there one night. I came back exactly one week later, the microwave had the exact same stains from the food that was splattered there before. I am moving to the area and I’ve been in and out for job interviews. My second time, the room was missing the nightstand, hooks in the bathroom. The cleanliness was glazed over. Things had been wiped down, but nothing was actually cleaned, nor sanitized. As a previous commercial janitorial worker, I know this place is not being cleaned properly. The smell is not fresh at all.
