Thomsen Apartments

The apartment was not at all like the photos, rather old and not particularly fresh. However, locations was great! Not too much noise outside. We had trouble with the reservation, and did not experience good communication with the responsible person.

Wir wollten eigentlich 3 Nächte in dem Appartment verbringen. Da wir uns aber in der Wohnung so unwohl gefühlt haben, sind wir einen Tag vorher abgereist. Die Wohnung ist ein ehemaliger Laden, was man an den vorhandenen Bodenfliesen und der großen Fensterfläche noch gut erkennen kann. Direkt vor dem Fenster ist ein Parkplatz und Fussweg, so dass man das Gefühl hat, jeder starrt hinein. Allerdings geht dieses nicht, da ein Sichtschutz vorhanden ist. Die Küche besteht aus einer sehr kleinen Küchenzeile, mit kaum vorhandener Ablagefläche. Ein Backofen und Geschirrspüler ist nicht vorhanden. Das zweite Schlafzimmer würde ich als Abstellkammer bezeichen, ohne Fenster! In der ganzen Wohnung gibt es keinerlei Möglichkeiten, Koffer ect. unterzubringen. Wie man mit 5 Personen unterkommen soll, ist mir ein Rätsel. Das einzige Positive ist die stylische Einrichtung.

Apartment 102 was perfect! Very easy to find with the information Thomsen sent prior to arrival. The living area, kitchenette and bathroom couldn’t have been better, they were very spacious and sat 4 very comfortably. Everything you needed for your stay including cooking utensils was provided, which meant we could have a lovely enjoyable night in. The bedrooms are quite small but to us that didn’t matter, there is no need for them to be any bigger! Location is perfect! So close to downtown Reykjavik, walking distance to everything. I would definitely stay again!

The apartment was still being cleaned when I arrived at check in time, so I had to wait about 30 min until it was ready. It's a very minimalist space, but fairly quiet for only being up one floor. There's a small balcony off the rear of the apt overlooking residential backyards. The kitchen is a nice size for a couple of people prepping food. It's about an 8 minute walk from the apt to the downtown harbour, so a good option if you're looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Bonus: it's only about 5 min from the Viking ship sculpture.

Excellent location and comfortable, clean apartment. Enjoyed the room but had a few issues: whenever the shower was running, it created a large leak in the middle of the kitchen floor; also, the lock on the door was a real issue and needs to be fixed. It was challenging to get both inside and out of the room.

Great location, clean and spacious. The bed was so comfortable, slept like a baby. Easy to find and easy check-in/check-out.

This is a nice stylish apartment in a good location. The bedrooms are quite small but it was a bonus to have 2 separate bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the lounge, meaning the whole family could sleep in different rooms. It is perfectly located in a quiet street but 5 mins walk to the centre. Free on-street parking was also about 5 mins walk. The communication with the owners was very good - they emailed clear instructions on how to access the apartment, and the key was waiting for us as promised. As Iceland is expensive to eat out, we brought quite a lot of our own food and also did some shopping at a Netto. This apartment has 2 ceramic rings, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster and a microwave plus plenty of crockery. Staying in this apartment was therefore a big help to our budget when compared against staying in a hotel.

Heerlijk appartement, klein maar leuk en comfortabel, zeer dicht bij winkels, horeca , kortom een aanrader om in het centrum te verblijven. Geen Personeel gezien, maar dat was voor ons geen probleem, alles goed geregeld. Appartement is schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wij hebben een onvergetelijke tijd gehad in Reykjavik, en komen zeker terug.

Værelset var ikke klar da ankom kl. 15.00, vi måtte ringe efter rengøring, og gå en tur i byen imens. Varme på badeværelse fungerer ikke. Badeværelsesgulv meget glat. Soveværelser er ok, med 4 gode senge. Køkken og stuefaciliteter er ok. Der mangler lys over køkkenbordet. Skabsdør ved køleskab og mikrobølgeovn uhensigtsmæssigt monteret.

A very nice two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. Only drawback was the loft - a bit low in the bedrooms if you are a tall person.
