Outside of the construction for five or six days straight (there is a makeshift construction site directly behind the building) and one the other hotels on either side was renovating. So that was a drag. However, the rooms are large, shower works great, aircon is solid and quiet. Kitchen has only the bare basics, no plates, no cups, couple wine glasses but no opener, no washing machine. Some simple cutlery, one oversized and well used pan and pot but nothing to stir with, no actual kitchen items like a large spoon, spatula or egg flipper. No knives, no paper towel. The location is good as there are no DJs or nightclubs pumping bass and the ocean is only a few blocks away 🌊

The location was wonderful. A short walk out to many restaurants, coffee shops, and the gorgeous beach but not in the thick of the central touristy area. We enjoyed the slightly quieter area (though the street noise got a bit loud a couple of times -- no big deal though). A lot of motorcycle/scooter hire places nearby if you want your own transport. Parking for the scooter was easy -- out on the sidewalk during the day; rolled inside into the reception area for security at night. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming; although they weren't always at the reception desk itself, they were always on hand and contactable if we needed anything. A very easy-going and well-run little boutique hotel. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for the mid-length stay. Great hot shower. A/C works a treat. A lot of natural light in the room and a very firm yet comfortable bed. A nice little table to eat/work at. The balcony got a lot of lovely sunshine and was nice to sit out on and watch the world go by below. Note: the washing machines are not in the rooms -- they are shared/communal ones up on the top floor (there is a front loader and top loader available for guest use).

Firmer pillows or an extra couple of pillows being available in the room would have been nice (that's just my personal preference, though). Again, not a big deal at all.

The room is really nice: lots of natural light, well-equipped kitchen and in a great area near the beach and lots of cafe/restaurants. The bed is super comfy (just note it’s two mattresses pushed together). The staff is super friendly and do their best to help with issues. Wifi is perfect.

Lots of things went wrong, sadly. There is loud construction right outside, 7am through to 8pm (even on weekends yes). It’s really loud. Sometimes I woke to drilling in the room next door. First day I arrived, I was put in a different hotel because the toilet was broken. Then when I moved in the air conditioner broke. Near the end of the stay the door also broke which resulted in it beeping through early hours of morning keeping me awake. Lots of maintenance visits to co ordinate. Regardless, I’d still come back which is testament to the room and staff

The room had surprisingly good soundproofing. Spacious. Huge bed, very comfortable hard mattress. Wifi internet fast enough for remote working.

Not a fan of toilets not fully separated from the room by proper full door but I dont care enough I guess.

Everything was perfect! Rooms are very comfortable and the owner is really friendly and helpful.

Very spacious studio. Lovely place to stay as a family and has a fully equipped kitchen.

Lacked a hairdryer.
