The victorian theme was so well established throughout the space preserving the true essence of this property’s history; Beautifully captured in all the fine details! It was so clean and homey too. A huge sense of comforting resting here.

The location is perfect can park your car and walk everywhere. Comfy chairs on the stoep for a well deserved relax

The room is a bit dark. Would have been nice to have had a bedside lamp on myside.

A beautiful old house, sympathetically furnished and very elegant. Elaine and her partner are excellent hosts, so welcoming and helpful. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious.

The bedroom is very comfortable with two armchairs, a wardrobe and coffee table, which made it quite compact and there was no space for our cases. Not a big problem though.

Beautiful room with every comfort you could wish for. I really appreciated the options on coffee, milk in the fridge, as well as water for the night. The owner couple were absolutely lovely, and very accommodating. Breakfast was a feast and completely unexpected.

We stayed here for one night in mid-August 2024 and although our visit was short, it was sweet. We really enjoyed staying at Montagu Manor. The host was very friendly and warm, and was able to answer our questions on where to eat/what to see in the area/safety. The location of the place is excellent - right in the town and with secure, safe parking. Our room was simply lovely. It was so charming and everything in it just fitted. So lovely. The shower was great. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast the following morning was a treat. Lovely food and the room - gorgeous. It was the little details - the cutlery, the background music, the table cloth: we loved it all. Definitely would stay again if we are ever in the area.
