Clean room

Hotel is extremely loud, since the hotel is directly on a busy street. When people come home and they close the doors you always wake up.

Toilet was broken when we arrived, took hours for them to find a fix. No solution was offered apart from offering us bottles of water. The shower took over 6 minutes to get hot water the first night, the second night took another 6 minutes and only want slightly warm. Room number 6 is terrible, loud and bright from the bar outside the window. The room even had ear plugs supplied in there which is an obvious red flag.

The property itself is fantastic. The room was so spacious and decorated really well, the bed and pillows were so comfortable and the pool area was lovely. It’s a small hotel so we barely saw anybody the entire stay, and felt as though we had the place to ourselves. The highlight was the staff, they were absolutely amazing, and were so kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay. They even were able to accommodate us being vegan / vegetarian, and remembered every day when we came back for breakfast. Oscar (I think that was his name!) was the person to check us in and make sure that we were comfortable and that there were vegan options in the restaurant for dinner. Everyone else was fabulous as well and I wish I had gotten everybody’s name! Cant recommend this hotel enough!

If I had to complain, I might say that the pool was a little cold!

Lovely room, and a nice traditional breakfast. Location was outside the centre (20min walk), but it was nice to be able to explore another area of the city. Cute pool area, nice and relaxing.

It's right on a main road, so a little loud.

The interior is a lovely space. The staff are very friendly and restaurant is beautiful and free breakfast is good and substantial. It was a 15-20 minute walk from several nice parts of town including the centro.

The room we were put in is very loud, room 5. Could hear everything from the very busy street and restaurant so it isn’t very relaxing if that’s what you’re going for, which we were because my wife is pregnant. The shower also did not work very well. We are traveling for our honeymoon and their was no mention of it by staff or offer to upgrade our room. The price did not reflect value of the room we were in, maybe other rooms. The photos of which room we would be in were a little misleading, otherwise we would likely not have picked that hotel. This hotel room cost per night is a lot more expensive than any other place we are staying during our trip but should have been half that cost. We were very disappointed about how much we spent to stay there. We travel a lot and use booking for all our stays and typically get offered an upgrade but this hotel does not seem to do that.

The design of the rooms and hotel including pool and the restaurant was very nice and we enjoyed our time here a lot. The staff both in the hotel reception, cleaning personell and in the restaurant were super friendly and helpful with our queries and recommendations for transfers, tours and anything. To the Centro of Oaxaca it’s a 25-30 minute walk but that was no problem for us. There are also plenty of stores and restaurants around.

The breakfast menu was unfortunately limited to three options while we were here. Still the food was very good. The first room we initially booked was next to a technical-room and therefore was quite loud due to some vents running the whole day and night. The next day the staff was gladly able to move us to a quieter room.

The property itself is quite beautiful. The restaurant staff is wonderful. The food (dinner, beverages, breakfast) was incredible!

It is located on a very noisy street. Constant loud traffic and street noises. The pool was unusable.

The restaurant of the hotel is very good. The breakfast offering alone makes the price good. The rooms are nicely styled and the decor of the gallery is cool. The location is about a 15 min walk from downtown. Definitely factor in to cost that you will likely often want to take a taxi from other areas of the city. especially if late at night and alone, for safety.

The young hotel staff seemed very confused on how to run a hotel. They consistently ignored the do not disturb signs on our doors. They said we could check in early and then said we couldn’t. The hotel also really needs to make itself more airtight and soundproof. There is little to no sound barrier or barrier preventing insects from getting to the rooms. The hotel says they can call a taxi but this was not available most of my stay. The one time they did randomly insist on calling me a taxi from one of their preferred, the driver was insane, tried to take me to an ATM to force me to take out money, and then increased the taxi cost suddenly while we were driving. I realize that is not directly the hotel’s fault but I still have no idea why they would insist on getting the taxi more cheaply/reliably and then actually not be able to do that. Lastly, I had consistent hot water issues the whole time I stayed, my friend’s room had a broken TV and a giant roach (they told her this is an issue they have had), and one of our rooms had an unpleasant sewage smell for most of the stay. Overall, the restaurant is very good and the hotel needs some work. The pool is pretty but not kept clean.
