LAX guest house

Hello everyone, I just want to warn you about a certain motel. I booked a women-only room through Booking.com. I don’t speak English fluently, but I can communicate. The owner was very rude and cold. He immediately asked for my passport, took a photo of it, and refused to give it back at first. He showed me the room – and there were already two men sleeping in the lower bunk beds. My bed was supposed to be on the top bunk. I asked him for a room with women only, as I had booked, but he told me to leave. Then, two more men appeared in the doorway, and I could barely get out. I managed to squeeze past them and went outside – they followed me. I asked for my passport again, but he still refused to return it. Only after I said I would call the police did he go inside and bring it back to me. I was shaking. I locked myself in my car and sat there for 10 minutes to calm down. Ladies, please be careful! Even now, as I write this, I still feel nervous. Wishing you all a safe and pleasant stay in L.A.

The place was horrible. Immediately after my arrival the manager said to me angrily that if I had stinky feet or I snored I would be kicked out. I've just arrived why are you angry? Anyway, I told him I don’t have these problems, but snoring is not something people can control, he told me that they should pay for a private room. Also he was sleeping in my same room and he was snoring, shouldn’t he kick himself out? The room was extremely small and 6 beds is way too much. No plugs near the bed, no sheet, bed cover so basically I only had the mattress and a pillow. At 7:30 am I was trying to collect my stuff as silently as possible for like 30 seconds and he complained for the noise, but he didn’t have any problem shouting at 1:00 am in the middle of the room, waking everyone. On my second night there was a guest who was snoring until midnight, then he went quiet. At 3:00 am the manager shouted at him to stop snoring, which the guest had already stopped for the past 3 hours, and the manager shouting woking everyone. The cooker simply throws a huge flame up with nothing controlling the flame or the gas, which is a major fire hazard, making cooking impossible. Even a passing guest immediately smelled gas. Flying plugs which are also fire hazards. Only plastic cutlery of poor quality, and not even a sponge to wash the dishes. It was also very dirty, while I was looking under the bed to see if I forgot something. I saw what appeared to be a tissue used to blow up the nose.

Je souhaite exprimer mon profond mécontentement concernant l’accueil que j’ai reçu à mon arrivée dans votre établissement. En effet, j’ai été très mal accueilli(e) : dès mon arrivée, on m’a demandé de partir immédiatement, sous prétexte qu’il était trop tard pour le check-in. Pourtant, j’avais préalablement convenu par message avec l’établissement que j’arriverais tard, et aucune indication ne m’avait été donnée indiquant que cela poserait problème. Malgré cela, on m’a refusé l’accès à ma chambre et renvoyé dehors, sans solution ni alternative. Je n’ai donc pas pu dormir sur place, ce qui est totalement inacceptable au regard du service que j’avais réservé et payé. Je demande une explication claire à ce sujet, ainsi qu’un geste commercial ou un remboursement intégral pour cette nuit durant laquelle je n’ai pas pu bénéficier du logement prévu.

Der stod på booking at der var gratis parkering. Vi spurgte så hvor vi skulle parkere og fik af vide at det var på gaden. Vi vågnede op til 2 parkeringsbøder.

This hotel had bed bugs. I literally had to run away at 2:30 in the morning (after a long flight from Europe) and find another hotel. There was no-one to speak to, they don't seem to have any staff just getting their long term residents to run the place. But at any rate it was 2:30 in the morning (which is actually 10.30 am back home) I needed to sleep and wasn't going to get into an argument or risk being moved to another room which would almost certainly have the same issue. They're now refusing to refund the stay, saying it's 'non-refundable' yeah except non-refundable typically means you can't cancel your stay because you feel like it, not no refunds once you find out our property's a health hazard. Utterly disgusting, why hotels.com hosts places like this I will never understand. And btw hotels.com have also refused to refund me, and are trying not to publish this review. So I guess they like sending customers to bed bugs infested hotels.
