Magical Pond Nature Igloos

Unique location in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast with high quality and local products. Would 100% reccomend.

Very good location and employees

Igloos are very small, it seemed bigger on pictures. Also i would prefer more choice for breakfast, like fried eggs or pancakes.

The location is a must, very suggestive, in the middle of the Forest. Other "Igloos" are spaced enough to be not too near. Modern structure. Very kind receptionist. Possibility of having breakfast to go since we left at 6:30.

Small room. Shower is open, that means the bathroom gets flooded. The food in the bar is very basic and the restaurant is not always open, this means taking a taxi to Ruka at 30.00 euros each way. Since the room is small, we did not understand the usefulness of dedicating space to the small kitchen which has no possibility of heating or cooking food. It is not so easy to sleep well, due to the shape of the bed which is not square.

What a wonderful place. Calm and serene with beautiful surrounding forest. Waking up, seemed a bit like a fairy tail. There are also winter activities accessible around, some even within walking distance.

It is unfair for this type of accommodation to be rated on a Booking.com review. Yes, the room is very small. But the whole experience is far beyond a typical hotel. The scenery, the view from the room, the stars, the northern lights, the tranquility. Just magical..

Everything was better than expected..

Amazing location in the middle of nowhere, yet easily accessible from Ruka. Clean and tidy room, comfy bed and obviously wonderful views. Friendly staff, everything went smoothly. We had dinner at the restaurant, the 3 course dinner was very tasty and atmosphere in the restaurant was romantic and intimate. Breakfast was great, not the biggest selection but definitely fresh and good quality. Overall this truly was a magical place.

I loved everything, but I felt like there was a lot of bright lights on during the night and was a bit worried it might make it difficult to see northern lights. Also I would suggest not bringing big suitcases as there's not much space for luggage in the room.

The location is so magical. We have never been to anywhere like this place. The customer service is truly the best! We sent an email about arriving late at night (reception closes at 11pm), they sent instructions about how to access our cabin, so check in was seamless. Reception also gave us a portable wifi connector when we mentioned we could not get wifi connection in our cabin. They went out of their way to pack our breakfast the night before we check out as we were leaving before breakfast starts (breakfast starts at 9am). Lammintupa is 10min walk away and truly a peaceful and magical walk. The only (minor) negative things were the bathroom towels were not the fluffy kind, felt more like a giant tea towel and the cabin is actually quite small. We took out the things we need from the suitcases, store them in the compartments available next to the bed and kept them closed throughout our stay. There were no rooms to keep 2 luggages open.

Magical igloo with an amazing view, located in the forest. The surroundings are just breath taking. Just nearby the resort, there's a place with a lot of activities which is very convenient.
