"Exceptional"

Walking the South Downs Way this was well worth the stop though short bus ride away. The room was in a building next door to the pub, very welcoming and everything necessary provided - small fridge really helped on a hot day, and lots of choice of teas and coffees, also cereal and fruit. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious !

Friendly welcoming inn, overnight. Beautiful back woodland garden. Delicious home cooked food.

Location, little out of things and on fairly busy road. Bedroom nice enough, difficult shower tap. Hard to turn then freezing water 1st took a while to get hot water, then hard to to turn off. It is a pub, not the most comfortable chairs to sit in during the evening.
