Great location (close to all amenities) but not next to them. The room is the largest of the trip.

Very good, affordable option in Unzen. The facilities are very clean, the room is traditional with futon and yukata, and the bath is nice. The pension does not have outdoor bath but there are many public baths just a few minutes away. The host is a very welcoming old lady, she prepares nice typical Japanese breakfast. Thank you! 😊🙏

The hotel has a very traditional feel. And was clean. The room was a decent sized one. Bath used water from a natural hotspring. Beautifull scenery and very close to the Unzen Jigoku. Definately worth a visit.

The public bath was small in comparison to the hotel size. We were quite fortunate that there were not a lot of guests during our stay. The town itself is small and not much choice for meals. So something to keep in mind when visiting.

Despite that the owner didn’t know that we reserved a room for a night stay but she try her best to understand the situation via Tel-interpreter. In the end, she arranged a room for us and the stay comes with a nice breakfast/dinner. The owner is nice lady.
