Hunt House Quarters

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a real attention to detail. Check in was easy: the instructions we’d been given were simple and we were in the room within a minute of pulling up. The mattresses were good quality. The television was big and had everything you could want. Gorgeous little bathroom too.

The kettle had a lot of lime scale, which, in all fairness, is an easy thing for cleaning staff to miss. But every time we poured water out there were little flecks of lime scale in it, so it probably needs replacing or a very thorough descaling. It wasn’t a big deal though. There are good blinds in the room, but the small window in the door lets a lot of light in, and in the morning the light directly hits the bed, so a little cover for that window would be great, as it woke us up really early in the morning. Again, it wasn’t a big deal, and this is a great place to stay.

Lovely location in a quiet village with a local pub/restaurant just across the road, plus a small local shop too. This is the second time we have stayed at Hunt house Quarters. We had the slightly larger unit with a separate kitchen. Every facility is catered for including a lovely en suite shower room & great parking. Last time we stayed in the smaller but very cozy Tack Room unit. Fantastic value for money though, and we would certainly visit again.

The mattress has seen better days unfortunately, and bigger and softer bath towels would make it a straight 10/10.

I didn't have breakfast though a trial was available continental style. Owner helpful. Room clean and as described with hairdryer and small fridge. Location ideal for my work.

I found mattress slightly uncomfortable but I have back problems, just not as supportive as I'd hoped. The heating system would be great but I couldn't find instructions and had to then leave for work so no chance to ask how to turn it down. It appeared self explanatory but wasn't! A microwave was listed as being in the room but there wasn't one, not a major issue for me, and there may have been one elsewhere in the separate kitchen room.

Lovely location. Beautiful room with comfortable bed. Peaceful and quiet.

Very comfy bed. Loved the breakfast. Well equipped. Easy to find. Clean and tidy. Used all the space very well.

Couldn't shower. Water was either boiling hot or cold tried for 20mins but couldn't sort it.

DIY breakfast which was fine.
